The height difference between one model and the other is 150 mm.The self-contained housing that does not require external control units differentiating itselffrom competitor products, offering easy and rapid installation thanks to the standard M12connectors.The DS2 series has an operating distance reaching 5 m, a minimum response timeof 5 ms and a minimum 6 mm resolution. New models with 25 mm resolution and with 10m operating distance are available for the 450, 600, 750 and 900 mm heights.The configuration can be effected manually, thanks to internal selectors, or through anintuitive graphic interface from remote PC connected to a serial port, which consents alsoto set the different operating modes available. Once installed the flash memoryprogramme, the device functions in the stand-alone mode. The RS485 serial interface,consents also the transmission of the measurement in a binary or ASCII code, accordingto the operating mode set, as well as the control of the operating status and lastly thesetting of the different baud-rate values.
