What doyou need to learn to improve your skills, advance your career and help yourcompany? Before we start planning next year’s educational program, we’re askingall members to submit ideas. What we present in Portland will be based veryclosely on what you tell us. It’s the only way to keep things real.Although the names of qualified presenters would help, our EducationalProgramming Committee, which organizes and develops all Exchange sessions, doesn’t need elaborate proposals. Even a sentence or two will help usidentify what topics need tackling. As a starting point, please take a look at our “core competencies” list, atright. It’s an outline of skill sets that grain operations professionals need most, and it may spark some ideas. To submit your ideas for the Exchange 2011 educational program, sendan e-mail to Chuck House, staff liaison to the Educational Programming Committee,at chuckh@geaps.com by May 15.GEAPS “Core Competencies”• Grain Quality Management• Grain Handling Equipment Management• Handling Systems & Operations TechnologyManagement• Facility Operations Management• Agribusiness Environment & ManagementPractice• Human Resources Management• Property and Casualty Risk Managementwww.geaps.com GEAPS In-Grain | April 2010 – 3
