Service Area, times <strong>and</strong> service providerUnder this warranty Quick Exchange service is provided within the country of purchase by an Authorised Service Provider or <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>Service Centres during normal business hours (excluding public holidays).Exchange Products<strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> may use new, or equivalent to new or refurbished products of equal or improved quality. An exchange product may be asubsequent model, which shall meet or exceed the specification of the replaced product. All non-working products replaced by a <strong>Fuji</strong><strong>Xerox</strong> exchange product shall become the property of <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>.Shipping Charges<strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> shall pay for the delivery of the exchange product to the customer via express delivery. Return shipping charges will be paid by<strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>, provided the customer returns the defective product via the carrier designated by <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> <strong>and</strong> the customer usesreplacement product packaging. Please contact <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> to confirm the Quick Exchange option is available to you.Obligations of CustomerUpon receipt of the exchange product, the customer must return the defective product within ten (10) business days to the locationdesignated by <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>, unless requested otherwise by <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>. Failure to return the defective product to such location will result inthe customer being billed the full list price of the exchange product. The customer is responsible for following repackaging instructions,which includes but is not limited to removing the toner cartridge from the defective product. Repair of any damage caused by notfollowing these instructions will be billed to the customer. The customer is also responsible for transferring any accessories or options,such as network or memory cards to the new product.Exclusion of Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs)This warranty does not cover CRU’s such as the toner <strong>and</strong> drum assembly. When a CRU is determined by <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> to be defective (inmaterials or workmanship, but not because the CRU did not reach its published print production life) during the warranty period or 90days from date of installation, whichever is greater, a free replacement unit will be shipped to the customer for customer replacement.CRU’s recommended as suitable for use in the product are listed in the “User Guide”.Service after your product warranty expiresWhen your warranty expires, you can obtain product service on a time <strong>and</strong> materials basis at <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>, the current rates for parts <strong>and</strong>labour apply. You can apply or purchase a maintenance contract anytime during your warranty period. For information please visit ourwebsite at www.fujixeroxprinters.com.Limitations<strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> should not be obligated under this warranty to:• Repair damage resulting from attempts by personnel other than <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> representatives to install, repair or service the product unlessdirected by a <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> representative;• Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from improper use or connection to incompatible equipment ormemory;• Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by the use of non <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>/<strong>Xerox</strong> parts, supplies or consumablesor the use of <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>/<strong>Xerox</strong> supplies not specified for use with this product;• Repair an item that has been modified or integrated with other products when the effect of such modification or integration increasesthe time or difficulty of servicing the product or degrades performance or reliability;• Perform product maintenance or cleaning or to repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from failure toperform product maintenance <strong>and</strong> cleaning as prescribed in published product materials;• Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from use of the product in an environment not meeting theoperating specifications set forth in the product’s documentation;• Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from failure to properly prepare <strong>and</strong> transport the product asprescribed in published product materials;• Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from acts of God or nature, acts of terrorism, explosion, flood, fire,war, <strong>and</strong> riots;• Repair the product after the limit of its duty cycle has been reached;• Replace items that have been refilled, are used up, abused, misused, or tampered with in any way;• Install replacement items that are considered customer replaceable;• Support software not supplied by <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong>/<strong>Xerox</strong>;• Provide software or firmware updates or upgrades;• Provide any application software installation, support or service on a host network or computer;• Repair any accessories not supplied by the manufacturer;• Cover freight costs to <strong>and</strong> from the Depot, Authorised Service Provider or <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> Service Centre outside capital cities.Please note that the warranty is non transferable.Any service identified in the preceding section <strong>and</strong> provided by <strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> at the customer’s request will be invoiced to the customer at<strong>Fuji</strong> <strong>Xerox</strong> current rates for parts <strong>and</strong> labour.FUJI XEROX, XEROX <strong>and</strong> the sphere of connectivity design are trademarks or registered trademarks of <strong>Xerox</strong> Corporation in the U.S. <strong>and</strong> orother countries.
