2005-2006 Alumni Board Janet M. Meacham, President Assistant Vice President, Commercial Treasury Management • Fifth Third Bank Janet Meacham is the Assistant Vice President, Commercial Treasury Management, for Fifth Third Bank. Her responsibilities include setting up the bank’s processing services with local businesses and businesses throughout the country. She joined Fifth Third in 2000 and previously served as the Regional Merchant Sales Representative. Her community involvement includes Junior Achievement, and she is actively involved with All Saints Catholic Church and Rossford High School. Janet earned an associate degree in business management from <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> in 1998. Janet enjoys reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Dennis (‘84), have three children Amanda Cichocki (19), Ashely Cichocki (17) and Madeline Meacham (10). Seeger, Vice President President & Chief Executive Offi cer • Great Lakes Credit Union, Inc. Part-time Faculty, Instructor - Business Management • <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Dave Seeger is the President and CEO of Great Lakes Credit Union, Inc. He serves as the Director of Marketing in addition to his administrative duties. He has also worked for Toledo Pubic Schools Credit Union, First Federal of Toledo and First Federal of Delta. David received his Master of Arts degree in organizational leadership from Lourdes <strong>College</strong> in 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Lourdes <strong>College</strong> in 1988. He graduated from <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> is 1980 with his associate degree in marketing & sales. David is currently working on his doctoral degree in organizational leadership from Bowling Green State University. His community involvement includes serving as an Ohio Reads Volunteer, a member of the Executive Committee for the American Heart Association, and as the leader of the YMCA annual fund campaign. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Toledo, Toledo Chamber of Commerce, Sylvania Chamber of Commerce, Perrysburg Chamber of Commerce, the Society of Credit Executives and the Credit Union Executive Society. David enjoys music, reading and staying physically fi t. He and his wife, Tracy, reside in Maumee. Green, Secretary Secretary, Foundation Offi ce • <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Debbie Green is the Foundation Offi ce Secretary at <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>. Her responsibilities include providing administrative support for the Foundation President/CEO. Prior to joining the <strong>Owens</strong> staff, she worked as a Data Coordinator for Brush Wellman and Green Offi ce Services, a home-based offi ce support company. Debbie earned her associate degree in applied business/offi ce administration from <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> in 1978. Debbie is a member of the Glass City Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals and serves as a co-chair of the Membership Committee. She enjoys music and reading. She and her husband, J. Keith (‘83), have two daughters, Katie (22) and Jenny (20). Cotner, Treasurer President • Corporate Intelligence Consultants Steve Cotner is the President of Corporate Intelligence Consultants. His responsibilities include investigations for corporate clients and attorneys, pre-employment screening and security management. He founded Corporate Intelligence Consultants in 1977 and previously served in law enforcement as an undercover narcotics investigator. Steve is the Board Chair for the Perrysburg YMCA, a member of Perrysburg Rotary and The University of Toledo’s Center for Family Business. He is also a member of the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, a current member and three-time chairman of the Ohio Association of Security and Investigation Services and a member of the American Society for Industrial Security International, the Pre-Employment Screening Guideline Committee. In 2005, Steve was appointed by Governor Taft to serve on the Ohio Private Investigation and Security Services Commission where he was also chosen to chair the Private Investigation Subcommittee. Steve received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Bowling Green State University in 1977. He also earned an associate degree in law enforcement from <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> in 1975. Steve enjoys fi shing and traveling. He and his wife, Debby Peters, reside in Perrysburg. “<strong>Owens</strong> is valuable because most instructors come from solid careers in their areas of expertise. At other institutions, most secondary educators come from the ‘theory’ side of things with no experience in an area of expertise. <strong>Owens</strong> faculty members know the industries they teach.” Laura J. Moore, Association Manager and Director Manager, Alumni Affairs • <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Laura Moore is the Manager of Alumni Affairs for <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> and the Alumni Association. In late September 2002, Laura became the fi rst, full-time manager of alumni activities for the <strong>College</strong>. In this role, she is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and operation of all alumni programs for the <strong>College</strong>. Additionally, Laura serves as the managing director for the Alumni Association Board of Directors. Prior to joining <strong>Owens</strong>, she enjoyed an 18-year career with Dana Corporation. Her community involvement includes assistant coach for All Saints girls’ volleyball, member of All Saints School Advisory Council and council secretary, and chair of its Parent Formation Group. She received her bachelor’s degree in business education from Bowling Green State University in 1983 and earned an associate degree in business from Bowling Green State University in 1981. Laura enjoys reading, sports, traveling and her children. She has three daughters, Kaitlin (13), Kelsey (9) and Mackenzie (8), and resides in Perrysburg. “I have the honor and privilege to serve <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> alums. Affholder President, Student Government • <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong> Brooke Affholder is the President of <strong>Owens</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s Student Government and brings the student’s voice to the Alumni Association. While leading the 18-member board, her goal is to not only reach out to <strong>Owens</strong> students, but also to reach out to communities, both locally and worldwide. Brooke is employed by Mom’s House and her responsibilities include secretarial and organizational tasks, assisting with childcare, answering phones and calendar scheduling. Brooke graduated from Northview High School in 2000 and is currently majoring in the registered nursing program. She plans to graduate in May 2006 and then continue her education to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Brooke’s hobbies include traveling, rollerblading, boating and volunteering at her church. Thank you <strong>Owens</strong>!” Mark N. Carr, Director Vice President, Mortgage Sales Manager • Genoa Bank Mark Carr serves as Vice President, Mortgage Sales Manager for Genoa Bank. His duties include originating, approving and closing mortgage loans as well as cross selling other bank services. Additionally, he is responsible for management and supervisory duties of the sales/origination staff. Mark sits on Genoa’s loan and marketing committees. Previously, he was with Sky Bank for 24 years, where he held various positions including Teller, Collections Manager and Banking Center Manager in various offi ces. He received his associate degree in fi nancial management from <strong>Owens</strong> in 1980. He also attended Adrian <strong>College</strong> for one year. Mark’s community involvement includes active participation at All Saints Church, as well as basketball and baseball coaching. He enjoys coaching and watching his children participate in their various activities. They are Marcus Carr (22), Kaycie Carr (20), Cody Carr (14), Makaila Korakas (21) and Morgan Korakas (19). Carr and his wife, Lori, reside in Perrysburg. “Academically, athletically and socially, I had two very memorable and worthwhile years at <strong>Owens</strong>. Through <strong>College</strong> contacts, specifi cally the President’s Offi ce and the Placement Offi ce, I was able to start a career in banking 26 years ago.”
