Effingham, New HampshireJune Smith Potter50 Years!Eric and I Just celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 29. After asix week honey moon at Capitol University we set up housekeeping inShelburne Falls, Mass. during the school year. Eric taught Chemistry,Advanced Science and advised yearbook and National Honor societyfor more than a third of a century. We returned to Eric's old homein Effingham N.H. during most school vacations.In 1967 I graduated with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciencefrom Greenfield Community College.I enjoyed being a fulltime wife, and mother to our two children; Amy andRoger. In 1987 when Roger entered 8th grade, and when Amy started college, Istarted work at McCusker’s Market while living in Shelburne Falls, and withinwalking distance of where we lived.In June of 2000 after 39 years of teaching; 37 in the Mohawk school district,Eric retired and we moved to Effingham to care for his mother. Sadly she passedaway just a few months later.Nikolaos and II enjoy knitting, Sudoku, reading, computer, (it can be a pain at times,) andjust hanging out at home with my husband. We are active in theCenter Effingham Baptist Church, where Eric is an Elder. Christ is thecornerstone of our marriage and life.Weight control has been a lifetime challenge for me, but being anactive member of TOPS Club, Inc. has helped me tremendously.With Amy, My Mother, Roger andJazzyWe have a step granddaughter Jazzy, and a great grandsonNikolaos, born Nov.1.Two years ago our daughter Amy (Durell) married in my oldchurch. She now lives in Troy.Unfortunately I am unable to attend our class reunion due toarthritis which makes travel limiting.Amy with her dad
