San DiegoROBERT ADAMSONPrinceville, KauaiI entered the U.S. Naval Academy in June of 1965, graduatingin 1969, with a BS in Physics. My first duty station aftergraduation was Naval Flight Training in Pensacola, Florida. I leftthe flight program in May of 1970, having failed the hearing testand was assigned to the USS Berkeley, a guided missile destroyerin Long Beach, California. Prior to joining the ship I went to SanDiego for training and met my soon to be wife, Gail. We weremarried in March of 1971.I deployed to WestPac (Western Pacific-Vietnam) in the springof 1971, and returned to San Diego in September. Our daughterKaren was born in San Diego in 1971. I made two moredeployments in the Navy from San Diego to WestPac. The lastdeployment was in 1975, when I participated in the evacuations ofCambodia and Vietnam in April 1975, aboard the USS Vancouver. After getting out of the Navy in 1977, I got an MBA from SanDiego State University and went to work for Chevron in SanFrancisco. We had a second daughter, Katie in 1981. I worked forChevron for 25 years and retired in 2003, and then moved back toSan Diego. Most of my career with Chevron was in the SanFrancisco Bay area but we did spend 2 years in LA and 3 years inJakarta, Indonesia. Since retirement I have been doing projectmanagement consulting and charity work. I am a Director of acharity that has raised over 3 million dollars over the last 10years. We have given 100% of that money to seriously woundedMarines, Sailors and Soldiers in individual grants.Gail and I have 5 grandchildren who we love and enjoy verymuch along with our daughters and their families. Our favoritevacation spot is Princeville, Kauai. For fun I play golf severaltimes a week and go to Charger and Padre games. LINDA (BERGERON) PERRYI was born in Keene and lived in Surry, NH until I finished 3rd grade. Then we moved to Keene for 6years and I attended Keene schools. We then moved back to Surry where I lived until I graduated fromMRHS.All I ever really wanted to do was get married and have children, so I quit college and married DavePerry, MRHS class of '63, in June 1966. We lived in West Swanzey and had our first child, Janice,in 1967.I was a stay at home Mom and loved it! I enjoyed taking care of my family. Eventually, we had 2more daughters. We spent a lot of time camping and even camped our way across the country. In 1974 we moved to York, PA. We wanted a change and that was where Dave's brother lived. So welived there for 2 years then decided to return to NH. We again lived in West Swanzey and stayed thereuntil 2002.We moved back to York, PA because Dave had lost his job at SuperValu in Keene and our youngestdaughter, Apryl, was in PA. So we enjoyed 10 years living near our daughter, her husband, and their 2children. Three years ago they moved to SC, but we will not be following them again. We have had many, many happy times, but also have had some serious challenges. When ouroldest daughter was 16 she got cancer and then in 1993, when she was 25, we lost her to it.Our middle daughter, Jennifer, has intellectual disabilities and severe autism. She lives in a group homejust 4 miles from us. We spend a lot time with her and always make sure she is well cared for. We takeher to SC regularly to visit her sister, and then quite often we take her on to Florida and Disney World.Dave has been retired for 8years now and we are enjoying ameasure of freedom. We keep verybusy traveling up and down the eastcoast and enjoy visiting the differentstate and national parks. We do alot of volunteer activities, particularlyinvolving Bible education. I like tosew and cook. One of my favoritethings to do is invite 15 or 20 friendsover and cook for them.Even though I never had acareer I feel good about my life. Ihave dealt with things that couldeasily destroy a family. But we havecome through it all with our headsup and smiling.

But sadly I lost him to cancer in October,2012. The AshbyCongregational Church family has been the support that has made thisjourney possible. Members have provided the opportunity for me to trysquare dancing, join a Red Hat group, connection to a coordinator forbus trips, and numerous social engagements. Volunteering in aKindergarten in Rindge two mornings a week feeds my desire to stayconnected to education. Now that I have mastered the TV remotes, I am filling the long nights with movies withmy two year old Maltese companion, Mika by my side!As well as my brothers, I now have various contacts that help me care for the home andgrounds, numbers to call to handle break downs, and a marvelous contractor to handlerenovations (kitchen completed in 2014, living room in 2015.) This small town is the epitome ofcare and support. My neighbors across the street watch out for me and dog sit as I head out onbus trips. Neighbors up and down the street have said all I need to do is call when I need help. One neighbor even put a blue ribbon award next to the mailbox and post I just painted! Throughall of this, my beloved cousin, Lucy (Flinkstrom) and her husband, Bruce, havealways been there to offer whatever I may need as challenges arose. This lifelongfriendship is truly a blessing. And, one that I hope all of you are blessed to have had.On the bus trip yesterday a table mate was 92 years young, one of several of thatvintage I have met. Looks like we have a lot of living left to do!

Gary PufferAfter MRHS I attended Keene State and received my degree inEnglish in 1969. I also played a little baseball for the Owls. Whilethere I met Cathy, my wife of 45 years.During the 70’s and 80’ I worked for Vt. National Bank inBrattleboro and Maine Fidelity Life, and NGM in Keene as WorkMeasurement Analyst and Business Systems Analyst. In 1982 our son Ben was born. He is now married and lives in Marlboro, Ma.After leaving NGM I had a variety of jobs, including manager of a bookstore, a great fit for a life longavid reader. My last years on the job were as a bank courier and I really enjoyed being out and aboutevery day.Cathy retired from 35 years of teaching in 2006, and I joined her in 2011.Now I fill my days with variousactivities like gardening, hiking withour Yellow Lab and doing all the littleand large projects any homeowner isfamiliar with. I played competitivesoftball until I was 53, but now that’sover. Being retired gives me the timeto read all the books I never had timefor.

Monadnock Regional HighI wondered what the future would bring my way,When in June of ’65 I faced graduation day,By July of that year the Navy was beckoning me,Saying there was a great big world to see. That experience proved to be exciting and fun,For four years I let that course run.November of ’68 Donna Hill and I were wed,In 1970 a son was bred. Our bliss lasted nearly 30 years,Until we no longer thought of ourselves as “dears.”I had a dream to be a fighter of fire,In 1979 I started to fulfill that desire. We moved to Rindge, and bought a house,It was then that fires I began to douse. The members made captain my rank,A team of men and women I will always thank. In the nineties I moved to the south west,Working for Advanced Ambulance, the area’s best.In the back of my mind, New Hampshire kept callin’,To be homeward bound I was all in.2000 would be the year I made that choice,I headed home with my girlfriend, Eva Royce.Looking for a company that was branded,Nashua, New Hampshire is where we landed.Rockingham Ambulance hired me right away,For the next 11 years I was there to stay. They closed down then took on a new look,I retired, and SIMPLICITY became my published book.A 2nd book is my new passion,I suspect I will finish it, after a fashion. How quickly the years have flown by,Since I graduated from Monadnock Regional High!

David Redfield3 years Army artillery 66-694 children, David Jr, Jenny, Elana andHannah, and wife Carol of 37 years. Not being able to get along with mybosses I started Redfield Electric in1979. Now semi- retired living inMarlborough, New Hampshireand Nova Scotia on thespectacular Bay of Fundy. Myhobby of mineral collecting gotme up here, and through local Jennyfriends, we were able to find thislocation and change it from a cottageto a second home. Best view in the world. OK so I'm a littlebiased but it's still really great. We've traveled around thestates quite a lot, just finishing up a 10,003 mile road trip with our faithful ChocolateLab, Nimby. My wife is the navigator, I'm the driver and the dog doesn't make a peeptill we're done driving for the day. We had only 3 commitments during the trip, otherwise we went where ever and stopped whenever. It's about 630 miles fromMarlborough to Parrsboro, Nova Scotia. Now that we are both retired we can spendmore time here. I say here cause that's where I am as I write this - enjoying daily a200+ degree view up and down the Bay of Fundy where the tidesrange 45 +/- feet twice a day. Tick Tock, Tick Tock - time just fliesaway.David Jr.ElanaWhen I first thought of our 50th class reunion, I thought whoa, that's for old folks, then I realized, I'm there. Time to start cleaningout the junk I've accumulated over the many years.Sadly I've lost a lot of good friends and family. Enjoy while youcan.HannahThanks to all you hard working people that put this reuniontogether, and to all the classmates who lived longenough to get there. Sorry to hear some can'tmake it cause of illness, but we'll be thinking ofyou, and probably talking a bit about you also.Weird, when I think of any of us, I picture that 18+/- year old image.Nimby

Pamela Vorce WhitcombTwo milestones this summer – 50 years ago this month we graduated from MRHS, and a week later,Bruce and I walked down the aisle and became husband and wife on June 26 th . The years have flownby, but what a legacy of a beautiful life to leave our children and grand-children!We were blessed with two beautiful children; Ronnie, the oldest, and Kathleen. Both have gracedus with happy, fun loving grand-children. Ronnie with Ronnie Jr who’s seventeen, and Julianna, agefifteen. And Kathleen is a busy mom with Jeffrey, age six.In May of 2011 I retired from Cheshire Oil Company after 24 and half years. Not wanting to wasteany of our retirement time, and within days of leaving Cheshire Oil, we were on the road with our 5 thwheel heading for The Last Frontier – Alaska. For 80 days we traveled the lower 48 up to the land ofdramatic, diverse terrain, wide-open spaces, mountains and forests, scattered with abundant wildlifeand many small towns. It was a wonderful trip that we will always treasure. When not on road trips with our 5 th wheel, we enjoy the sheer pleasure of just driving over to ourseasonal campsite, unlocking the door, and just sitting back and enjoy the good life.

G. MICHAEL VOSEAfter graduation and one unproductive year at UNH, my family enduredthe death of my sister Mary (Class of ’66) to cystic fibrosis. That eventpropelled me to expand my horizons and I spent four years in the US AirForce. That stint allowed me to use the GI Bill to finish a BA degree inhistory at Keene State.Working my way through college as a broadcaster/journalist spurred meinto a print journalism career that led from BYTE magazine to corporatetechnical writing jobs at Sun, Compuware/Numega, and Autodesk. Mixedin between these jobs I wrote a book about Microsoft Windows 3.0 andpublished a newsletter about a failed IBM computer operating system (OS/2).Along the way, I welcomed three granddaughters into our family, climbedall of New England’s 100 highest peaks, learned to play the hammereddulcimer, and toured Scotland in 1996 and 2006 playing music with theStrathspey & Reel Society of NH (I still play with the group today). In 2005, my first wife and I parted company and I unexpectedly found loveagain and married Denise in 2008. We live in a lovely home in Eppingwhere we built a 1200-gallon backyard water garden in 2012, moving7,000 pounds of rock one stone at a time.In 2010, I became involved with the local Historical Society where I servedas President, and in 2012 was elected as a Epping Library Trustee. In 2014, I was elected to the NH House of Representatives, where I nowserve on the Science, Technology, and Energy committee.
