Theloving uncle dies leaving Jane to fend for herself against a cruel aunt and spiteful cousinswhom she cannot seem to measure up to. When it is finally determined that the burden ofthis niece is too much, she is sent to a school for girls to finish her upbringing. She has manylessons in finishing school but the toughest one comes in the form of her best friend dying dueto an illness that sweeps the school. Thus ends part one and the end of her childlike outlookon life.Part two begins with her teaching at the school and finally looking for a job to be a privategoverness. When she finds the perfect job caring for a darling young girl entrusted to a fatherfigure, she takes on the job with efficiency and gusto. However, when she meets the masterof the house, she quickly establishes a crush which blossoms into much more as everypage turns. Love never comes easily and Jane Eyre is no exception.
