IIS experienced growth of 7.14% in students taking CIP classes despite the original
forecasted decline of class enrollment for 2010-2011. The 2010-2011 total CIP students in
our membership is 483 compared to 319 in 2009-2010 which is a growth of 51.4%.
We successfully held a total of 36 CIP courses this year. Part of this success is due to
offering more courses both in Regina and Saskatoon. In addition, we offered, for the first
time in Saskatchewan a new compressed format called ‘’ weekend warrior’’, which was a
huge success. We have received numerous requests from students to continue with this
format.
We anticipate IIS will continue to offer more courses and offer many more formats to
service the needs of our students. Therefore, we are optimistic that we will continue to see
growth.
Instructors for the 2010-2011 term includes
Regina - Karen Prychitko, Bill Bearman, Susan Fedyck, Erin McMahon, Maureen
McWillams, Kim Graff, Carey Cimmeck
Saskatoon - Susan McDonald, Bruce Chupa, Leanne Franklin, Gina Smith
Thank you to everyone who provided their time and expertise to the students thus making
our industry stronger.
