with relation to broader societal impacts <strong>of</strong> gender equality, that is, progress in women’s total share <strong>of</strong>seats in national assemblies, <strong>the</strong> increase in women working outside <strong>the</strong> agricultural sector, women’sincome compared to men’s in selected countries <strong>of</strong> cooperation, and <strong>the</strong> enrolment rate <strong>of</strong> girls inprimary school compared to that <strong>of</strong> boys.The results report <strong>of</strong> 2008 focuses on three <strong>the</strong>matic areas (i.e., electrification, girls’ education and goodgovernance) and three focus countries (Nepal, Mozambique, and Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Sudan). Evidently, mostreporting on WRGE is in <strong>the</strong> chapter on girls’ education. However, WRGE is included in <strong>the</strong> chapterson electrification and good governance as well, and also in <strong>the</strong> chapters on <strong>the</strong> three countries.Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Sudan reported on support to girls’ education, but also mentioned <strong>the</strong> Sou<strong>the</strong>rn Sudaneseauthorities’ policy <strong>of</strong> 25% representation <strong>of</strong> women in <strong>the</strong> SPLM (p. 82). Within <strong>the</strong> support towardspeace building and good governance, <strong>the</strong> total share that goes to women’s organisations is identified onpage 26, demonstrating that <strong>the</strong>re has been a marked increase in <strong>the</strong> level <strong>of</strong> support from 2006 to 2007.Apart from this diagram, women are only mentioned one more time in <strong>the</strong> chapter on good governanceand only twice in <strong>the</strong> chapter on electrification. In <strong>the</strong> chapter on Nepal, several results are listed withgender-specific statistics.16
