Members of the University of Montana news team pose proudly with theircollection of television and radio reporting award plaques from the national BEANews Division student competition.PRICE HICKS 2005 BEA FESTIVAL OF MEDIA ARTS HOSTPrice Hicks has served as Director of Educational Programs and Services for theAcademy of Television Arts & Sciences since 1985. In this capacity she supervises theFoundation’s national programs for college students and faculty: the Student InternshipProgram, the College Television Awards, the annual Faculty Seminar for college professorsof Film, Television and Communication Arts, and theVisiting Professionals Program. Hicks also oversees the publicationof the Academy’s educational programs newsletters, Debutand Academic Bulletin, and regularly lectures about the Academyand its academic outreach programs on college campuses acrossthe country.Prior to joining the Academy, Hicks was a producer at KCETPublic Television for fourteen years. She produced several longrunningnews and public affairs series and was awarded fourEmmys and a Golden Mike Award, as well as special recognitionfrom The City of Los Angeles and American Women in Radio & Television. She hasalso worked as consultant to the Los Angeles Arts Council where she developed andestablished the Arts Scholarship Awards Program.Hicks graduated cum laude from the University of Montevallo, Alabama, with majorsin Art and Spanish.28<strong>Feedback</strong> March 2005 (Vol. 46, No. 3)
