Abstract<br />
This report informs on the Joint JRC Nano event <strong>and</strong> 2 nd ENPRA Workshop on <strong>Challenges</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Regulation</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
<strong>Risk</strong> <strong>Assessment</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Nanomaterials</strong> held on 10-12 May 2011 in Somma Lombardo, Varese (Italy). The workshop<br />
intended to provide an overview <strong>and</strong> a forum for discussion to regulators, scientists <strong>and</strong> other stakeholders on<br />
recent regulatory <strong>and</strong> scientific developments in the field <strong>of</strong> Environmental Health <strong>and</strong> Safety <strong>Assessment</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Nanomaterials</strong>, in particular from the ENPRA FP7 project. It included sessions on regulatory development <strong>and</strong><br />
implementation, nanomaterials characterization, exposure, <strong>and</strong> effects. Summary records <strong>of</strong> the sessions as<br />
well as abstracts <strong>of</strong> the oral presentations are presented.
