Cabinet SELECTIONWhen designing for a specific space, there are three main considerations in choosing the rightROBERN® cabinet or group of cabinets.SIzE/SPaCEROBERN cabinets run the gamut of sizes. In width, they run from a slim 12 inches (A Series) toa seamless 48 inches (largest Uplift cabinet) and a spacious 60 inches (three-door C Series).S Series are created in remodeling-friendly 14-inch widths. In height, cabinets extend from18 inches (smallest S Series) to more than 6 feet tall (Fairhaven® full-length).Remember, those are just individual cabinet dimensions. With appropriate ganging or stackingschemes (see pages 132-135), virtually any space can be accommodated perfectly. In addition to available wall space, an importantconsideration is the amount of storage space needed. What types of items must be stored? Is a standard 4-inchdepth enough, or is a more spacious 6 or 8 inchesnecessary? With optional interior electrical outlets,a deeper cabinet can also hold appliances like a hairdryer. The Uplift cabinet even accommodates up to a19" LCD TV.Finally, other restrictions must be considered. Are thereobstructions to doors opening? Is there enough ceilingheight (8 feet) for an Uplift cabinet with a verticalopening? Remember that a frame or lights adds widthand height to a cabinet. For easy reference and selection, all cabinet sizes arelisted on page 137.STyLEGanged M Series cabinets (4 shown)Style can play a key role in cabinet selection.Sometimes, a cabinet needs simply to blend in to a design. Other times, it must make adistinct statement. ROBERN cabinets can do both. The beauty of several ROBERN mirrored cabinets is that they are largely design neutral. Theyoffer attractive functionality that complements a room without overwhelming it. The choice ofa beveled mirror can add flair without affecting design. ROBERN offers plenty of options thatcan support any room décor. For a more specific style, however, cabinets like Candre®, Cité®, Métallique® and Fairhaven®carry the aesthetics of certain design eras. Each has a striking look and unique personality thatcan serve as the centerpiece for a room.130 | PRODUCT SELECTION
