life-saving services
at Your Hospital
The philanthropic spirit of our
community continues to sustain Boca
Raton Community Hospital’s high
quality, compassionate care, as it has
for almost half a century. We thank all
our donors for your very generous gifts,
which are utilized each and every day
as we provide life-saving services to our
patients.
During the past year, a leadership gift
from the Schmidt Family Foundation
named the atrium lobby in the Harvey &
Phyllis Sandler Pavilion while providing
important funding for cancer programs.
The Schmidts also dedicated the
Pavilion’s atrium piano to the memory of
Stephen Schnellenberger, son of Coach
Howard and Beverlee Schnellenberger.
Mary Ann and Harold Perper’s very
generous gift to the Foundation has
named two patient reception areas
in the Sandler Pavilion as well as the
Emergency Department’s new Patient/
Visitor Entrance.
The Schmidts, the Perpers and all of our
donors have our deepest gratitude, as
gifts to the Foundation are utilized to
provide funding for important programs,
services and technology. During the
past year, your philanthropy has been
instrumental in the introduction and
maintenance of important services.
• Donations to the Lynn Cancer
Institute have supported and
enhanced programs, services and
technology in the Sandler Pavilion.
Major gifts are acknowledged with
a naming of a service, technology,
or a feature within the Sandler
Pavilion (see page 13 for a sampling
of naming opportunities available
throughout the hospital).
• Renovation of the Emergency
Department is a priority for the
Hospital, in order to provide the
warm and soothing yet highly
efficient environment that is so
critical during times of acute
medical need. The planned
renovation is supported by a
Foundation fund raising effort that
includes naming opportunities.
• The Rockwell Suites re-opened on
January 11th after a comprehensive
renovation and since then have had
almost 100 percent occupancy.
These all-private patient rooms with
the atmosphere and amenities of a
5-star hotel differentiate Boca Raton
Community Hospital from local and
regional competitors.
Through the generosity of its donors, the
Foundation has funded:

• Electronic Bed Tracking System
• Electronic Medical Records System
for Emergency Department
