Location of<br />
ASME Containers<br />
From NFPA 58, Appendix I<br />
Federal, state, and local ordinances and regulations<br />
should be observed at all times.<br />

Aboveground Container Notes:<br />
1) The relief valve, filling connection and liquid fixed liquid<br />
level gauge vent connection at the container must be at<br />
lest 10 ft from any exterior source of ignition, openings into<br />
direct–vent gas appliances, or mechanical ventilation air<br />
intakes.<br />
2) No part of the underground container shall be less than<br />
10 ft from any important building or line of adjoining property<br />
that can be built upon.<br />
1) Regardless of size any ASME container filled on site must be located so<br />
that the filling connection filling connection and liquid fixed liquid level gauge<br />
vent connection at the container must be at lest 10 ft from any exterior source<br />
of ignition, openings into direct–vent gas appliances, or mechanical ventilation<br />
air intakes.<br />
2) The distance is measured horizontally from the point of discharge of the<br />
container pressure relief valve to any building opening below the level of the<br />
relief valve discharge.<br />
3) This distance may be reduced to no less than 10 ft for a single container of<br />
1200 gallon water capacity or less, if the container is located at least 25 feet from<br />
any other <strong>LP</strong>-<strong>Gas</strong> container of not more than 125 gallon water capacity.<br />
