<strong>LP</strong>-<strong>Gas</strong> Regulators<br />

done by qualified service personnel only. Once it has been determined<br />

that a new regulator has not properly locked up, the following steps should<br />

be followed:Reinstall the regulator, check for leaks and properly check the<br />

system.<br />

Step 1<br />

Hold the neck of the regulator body<br />

securely with a wrench. Remove the<br />

inlet with a second wrench by turning<br />

clockwise<br />

(left hand thread).<br />

Save the inlet nipple and gasket for<br />

reassembly.<br />

Step 2<br />

Inspect the regulator seat disc. Wipe it<br />

clean using a dry, clean cloth.<br />

Inspect the inlet nipple to be sure the<br />

seating surface is clean and not damaged.<br />

Turn this wrench<br />

clockwise<br />

Step 3<br />

Reinstall the inlet nipple and<br />

gasket by turning counterclockwise into<br />

neck of regulator (left hand thread).<br />

Hold the neck of the regulator body<br />

secure with a wrench. Tighten the inlet<br />

nipple into the regulator with a second<br />

wrench. Tighten to 35 ft/lbs torque–do<br />

not overtighten.<br />

Be careful not to damage threads.<br />

After completing these steps, be sure<br />

system piping is clean and that new pigtails<br />

are being used.<br />

Reinstall the regulator, check for leaks<br />

and properly check the<br />

system.<br />
