PHA Scan Ti Lα 20K CPS Light element / low energy x-rays are poorly resolved from baseline noise. Gain shifts with count rate – PHA peak shifts toward baseline with increasing count rate. Use integral mode unless PHA energy discrimination required – counts extend to upper limit of PHA scan. MSFC Spec 1 with P-10 flow counter, LDE2, 128x gain, Ti Lα on Ti metal @ 20k cps.
