GENERAL: True competitor who brings speed and a strong<br />

arm to the outfield… has some pop at the plate.<br />

BEFORE MANHATTAN: Three year varsity starter at Kennedy<br />

Catholic High School under head coach Bob Fletcher…<br />

helped lead Kennedy to a 49-5 overall record in h<strong>is</strong> final<br />

two years… hit above .300 all three seasons and had a .408<br />

batting average as a senior… led the team in stolen bases<br />

all three years and blasted five home runs in high school<br />

career… hit .339 as a junior with 13 RBI and 33 hits, including<br />

two doubles, two triples and two home runs<br />

helping Kennedy to a 27-3 overall record, 11-1<br />

conference mark, en route to the school’s first New York<br />

State Class B Championship… hit the go ahead grand slam<br />

in the regional final game during the championship run…<br />

appeared in 20 games as a sophomore, hit .360, drove in 10<br />

runs and recorded four doubles... earned All-Section I and<br />

League III-A honors.<br />

17th in the county for 100 meter dash, 19th for 200 meter<br />

dash and 41st in long jump as a junior… helped lead football<br />

team to Big Four Championship during junior year… four<br />

year member of the Patchogue-Medford Honor Roll.<br />

League and All County honors… named NNJIL Second Team<br />

All-League as a senior…played two years at Don Bosco and<br />

in 2007 fin<strong>is</strong>hed the season batting .520 to earn All-County<br />

and All-League recognition… member of the 2003 New Jersey<br />

Sandy Koufax State Championship team… named 2003<br />

Hackensack Sandy Koufax MVP… Master Glazier 2002 Karate<br />

“High Brown Belt” Champion.<br />

PERSONAL: A business major… the son of Edward and<br />

Nancy Spitaletta… h<strong>is</strong> uncle Richard Spitaletta ’81 <strong>is</strong> a graduate<br />

of Manhattan College… enjoys swimming, reading and<br />

traveling… chose Manhattan College for its reputation for<br />
