CHRISTIE DAB+ RADIO
The retro-styled design of the Christie Radio is
remarkably charming and includes some novel
features. The rotating front display means the radio
can be used in either portrait or landscape with
no compromises on sound quality. As well as DAB,
connection can be made with NFC or Bluetooth to
start the stream, although the NFC connection can
be erratic. Sound quality is excellent, but streaming
through Bluetooth seems to be just a little better.

DOUBLEBLASTER
With so many wireless speakers on the
market it takes something really special
to stand out. The Doubleblaster certainly
does this in terms of its quirky design, but
in most other areas it lacks the finesse
required. The three-watt speaker can
produce high-volume sound, but there are
some occasional distortions that disrupt
the listening experience. Bass also tends to
be all over the place at times – something
that isn’t a problem in similar products.

BAMBOO STYLUS
FINELINE
Users will need to download the
accompanying Bamboo Paper app for the
stylus to work. Through the app, you can
draw, sketch and write with the stylus
and it’s the stylus’ precision that makes it
special. The thin tip picks up the slightest
details when it makes contact with your
screen. However, for $60, there are
cheaper alternatives.

SPIGEN TOUGH ARMOR
iPHONE 6 CASE
While the metallic-looking exterior of the
Tough Armor is in fact plastic and rubber,
it does feel robust on the iPhone 6. In each
corner is a special air cushion that limits
device damage from drops, but we’re a bit
dubious about the lack of screen protection.
We did, however, like how each port had
been expertly cut out, something that
other manufacturers often forget.
