OptraDam ® Plus
The better way of tooth isolation
State-of-the-art restorative therapy
The new OptraDam Plus allows a
comple te ly dry operating field to be
established even more easily. Consequently,
the individual restorative treatment steps
can be conducted in a more reliable and
controlled fashion. Moreover, the dam’s
unique, three-dimensional shape provides
an excellent view of the oral cavity and
facilitates access to the working field.
Exceptional operator convenience
and high patient comfort
Because of the new, more elastic plastic rings,
OptraDam Plus is now even easier to insert
in the patient’s mouth. The rings also make
the rubber dam very comfortable to wear for
the patient. At the same time, OptraDam Plus
ensures complete retraction and protection of
the patient’s oral soft tissues.
Automatic hold without metal clamps
Simplified complete isolation
Due to the high elastic resilience of the new
latex material, the septa can be passed more
easily through the proximal contacts. This
simplifies placement of the rubber dam. In
addition, tearing along the margins of the
punched holes is markedly reduced.
Optimum adaptation and gingival seal
Patented, 3-dimensional flexible shape
The new, optimized position of the preprinted
arch template creates apical tension.
As a result, the dam is automatically adapted
to the sulcus. Isolation in the gingival region
is thus improved.
One or two wedges can be used to separate the teeth, which simplifies passing of the rubber dam through the proximal
contact. If the distal wedge is used as a retention element, no rubber dam clamp is required.

OptraGate provides effective perioral
retraction of the lips and cheeks and thus
considerably enlarges the operating field.
As a result, visibility and accessibility are
significantly increased. Due to its soft texture
and three-dimensional flexibility, OptraGate
can be used from the beginning right to the
end of the treatment.
Enhanced patient comfort with the new
OptraGate “ExtraSoft“
For a snug and more gentle fit, the inner ring
of OptraGate ExtraSoft has been modified
in the area of the upper and lower labial
frenulum to minimize intraoral pressure. In
contrast to conventional, rigid lip and cheek
retractors, the soft OptraGate ExtraSoft is
extremely comfortable to wear for patients
over longer periods of time.
Economical application – can be quickly
inserted by one person
OptraGate ExtraSoft can be easily inserted
and removed by a single person. It does not
have to be held in place by an assistant
during the treatment procedure and it
ensures a quick and smooth workflow.
Therefore, OptraGate ExtraSoft is very
user-friendly for the dental team. The
individual packaging ensures high hygiene
quality.
Wide range of applications
The inner ring has been optimized by
providing a soft pad (green arrow) as well as
notches in the area of the frenulum (orange
arrow).

Slightly elastic modelling tips help
reduce the stickiness associated with
handling composites
The slightly elastic working ends of the new
OptraSculpt instrument have been specially
developed to sculpt and contour composites.
As these tips reduce composite stickiness,
they will allow you to achieve outstanding
results more quickly.
The modelling tips have been
specially developed for handling
composites. As they are made of
elastomer, composites can be
contoured easily and accurately.
The ergonomic handle makes
the instrument comfortable to
hold. Its light weight design
prevents the hand from tiring.

selected as desired
OptraSculpt is available in
two versions: one featuring a
spatula-shaped modelling tip
and the other with two shanks
for mounting the modelling tips.
The asymmetrical modelling tips can be
rotated 360° and snapped into place in the
position desired.
The dark blue colour of the tips heightens
the contrast between the instrument, the
teeth and the composite and allows you to
control your work at all times.

OptraSculpt is composed of a handle and
shanks and six interchangeable modelling
tips in different shapes. A total of 15 different
combinations are possible, offering the
utmost flexibility and precision in contouring
procedures for all the different indications.

Perfecting the creation of contacts with
OptraContact ® : accurate, fast, finished!
Bifurcated working end for tight and
broad proximal contacts with composites
OptraContact, the innovative and easy-touse
contact point instrument, allows you to
achieve tight and broad proximal contacts
throughout the entire posterior region.
Moreover, the contacts can be created
exactly where they are needed.
OptraContact is available in two different
sizes: for molars or large cavities and for
premolars or small cavities.
Patented bifurcated working
end especially developed for
creating tighter and broader
proximal contacts.
Ergonomically designed,
light-weight handle prevents
hand fatigue.
Stabilizing “composite bridge”
During the light-curing procedure, the
bifurcated end of the instrument creates a
“bridge”, which stabilizes the matrix. This
“composite bridge” enables you to achieve
tighter and broader contacts without having
to forcefully separate teeth with wedges.
Precise positioning of the contact
The contact can be created in the upper third
of the proximal surface, exactly where it is
needed. Consequently, the entire restoration
comes very close to imitating the natural
situation.

The new OptraMatrix bands are selectively
thinned on the side of the cavity. This thin
area allows tighter and broader proximal
contacts to be achieved, as the tightness of
the contact is directly related to the thinness
of the matrix material between the teeth!
There is no need to make space by forcing
the adjacent teeth apart using wedges.

Window for close contact surfaces
The matrix bands feature a window on the
opposite, uninvolved side of the cavity.
Therefore, the natural contact of a two-surface
cavity remains intact during the treatment,
preventing counterproductive
micro-movements of the
tooth to be treated.
The matrix has a selectively
thinned contact area (10 µm)
to reduce the amount of matrix
between the teeth during the
treatment procedure.
The special shape of OptraMatrix
achieves an excellent cervical seal
and allows the matrix to automatically
adapt to the adjacent
tooth.

Thanks to the window, the
existing contact on the
uninvolved side remains intact
during the treatment.
Controlled positioning of the contact
The contact can be created in the upper
third of the proximal surface so that the
entire restoration imitates the original

with OptraPol ® Next Generation
Effective
The effective OptraPol polishers allow highly
lustrous, natural-looking restoration surfaces
to be achieved in a single working step. In
contrast to conventional polishers, they produce
an exceptionally high lustre within only
10 seconds because of their high content of
up to 72 wt.% micro-fine diamond crystals
and their excellent polishing performance.

The autoclavable polishers are dimensionally
stable and wear resistant. As they are
reusable, costs per application are
significantly reduced.
Universal
OptraPol Next Generation is suitable for
finishing and polishing all popular dental
