The JV field hockey team prepared all summer for this season by attending<br />
camp, practices and conditioning. Their first game against<br />
Male proved that this young team has a lot of promise and talent. Both<br />
Mackenzie Mellen and Jenna Ernst scored goals with the final score 2-<br />
4 Male. Despite losing their first game, they came back strong in the<br />
Appleseed tournament winning against Mercy 2-1. Ashton Collins<br />
and Sam Minrath defended<br />
the goal. All players had an<br />
exceptional game with goals<br />
scored by Jenna Ernst and Maddie Brock. Round 2 of the tournament<br />
against Ballard really put our defense to the test. Paige Cohoon,<br />
Grace Karr, Alexis Taylor and Sarah Chastain were up for the<br />
challenge and played excellent defense. Sam Minrath showed her<br />
incredible flexibility, determination and stamina by holding Ballard<br />
to only one goal. She had more than 40 saves! Come out and support<br />
our games-the future looks bright!<br />
