Hydraulic Reservoirs<br />

Harken offers pressurized carbon fiber/composite<br />

reservoirs and vented blow-molded reservoirs for<br />

manual hydraulic systems.<br />

Pressurized Reservoirs<br />

With a 20-liter version that weighs just 3.8 lb (1.736 kg),<br />

Harken’s pressurized carbon fiber/composite reservoirs<br />

are among the lightest in the existence. They are installed<br />

in the bilge rather than at pump level for a low center of<br />

gravity. Reservoirs include a one-way return line check<br />

valve and supply line shutoff valve, both with aluminum<br />

-6JIC fittings. A high-quality regulator maintains smooth<br />

and consistent oil flow.<br />

A graduated level gauge and translucent sections in<br />

the reservoir walls make it easy to monitor oil levels.<br />

Pressurized reservoirs require very little maintenance<br />

and are cleaner than those that use ambient air pressure.<br />

Custom sizes are available.<br />

Vented Reservoirs<br />

These 2- and 4-liter blow-molded reservoirs are used<br />

for smaller Grand Prix systems and production yachts.<br />

Reservoirs feature a vented cap to stabilize tank pressure<br />

and prevent leaks. Translucent materials allow oil levels<br />

to be easily monitored. 3/8 inch (10 mm) hose barbs are<br />

welded to the reservoir for supply and return hoses.<br />
