Quality & Excellence in Education
It is amazing to see that more than half of our present population
is less than 20 years of age. Such a rich young component of
population con not be found elsewhere. Europe and the United
State which boast of their technical advancement, look to
Pakistan with envy, because the majority of their own Human
Resource Capital is composed of people beyond 40. It can be
well-understood that the prospects of domination in future shine
more optimistically here as compared to there.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Besides our tremendous youth force, we are also gifted by nature
in respect of our important geographical location. We are the
joining link between the East and the West. Past history has seen
political, commercial and material developments and movement
treading through this region. Once again, this region is destined
to witness great epoch-making developments taking place. We
cannot afford to miss the fruits of that phenomenon. We have to
be ready and alert to jump on to the band wagon of opportunity.
For that we have to be equipped with education, enlightenment
and technical skills. Allah Almighty has blessed us with immense
resources. We have to prepare ourselves to utilize those resources
on our own. How long can we survive on foreign assistance and
support? We are likely to be pushed down and trampled down if
we don’t acquire the capabilities of standing upright and firm on
our own feet. You must have noticed that empty bags are seldom
able to stand upright. Our young men and women have to fill
themselves with real knowledge, solid capabilities and capacities
to stand the test of modern times and to grasp the rewarding
opportunities of future. They cannot survive through mere
grumbling over their neglect and deprivation. They have to prove
their ability to shoulder the responsibilities, and when they
manage to do that, the opportunities and recognition will fly to
them from all quarters.
6th Convocation
Honorable Mr. Vice Chancellor,
I have seen BUITEMS growing from the state of infancy to a state
of stout energetic existence within the last few years. The
academic atmosphere and opportunities available for the
nourishment of talents are commendable. I have visited this
university and witnessed with my own eyes the rapid expansion
of program offerings and development of educational facilities.
