Korean Language Programs
1) Yonsei University Korean Language Institute

Yonsei’s Korean Language Institute is the grandfather of Korean language
education. Since opening in 1959, the institute has taught
Korean to countless foreign missionaries, diplomats and scholars.
Currently, the school has about 800
students and 100 instructors. It offers
several programs, including an intensive
three-month Regular Program (where
you can work to complete a one-year,
six-month six-level course or a two-year
eight-level course), various Special
Programs, afternoon and evening programs,
advanced programs and more.
Tuition
Tuition for the regular program is 1.48 million won.
3) Ewha Language Center
including an intensive three-month
Regular Program.

Tuition for the Regular Program is 1.47 million
won.
The language center of Ewha Women’s University offers Korean classes
to both men and women. The school offers intensive, regular, shortterm
intensive and special courses.
Tuition
Tuition for the intensive course (10 weeks, four hours a day) is 1.34 million won.

Jesuit-run Sogang University also has a
well-regarded Korean language program.
The school, founded in 1990,
enrolls about 1,300 students each year.
Unlike other Korean language programs,
Sogang University focuses on
speaking rather than grammar. Of four
hours of daily instruction, two hours
are dedicated to speaking. Like Yonsei,
Sogang offers a variety of programs,
