IN MEMORY OF LATE HORNERS Malcolm Dransfield Carrick CAMPBELL James Patrick CODY HONORARY CHAPLAIN Assistant the Revd Stuart Meyer resigned as Honorary Chaplain on 1 st February 2010, having held the post for three years. The Court has elected the Revd Dr Alan Griffin, rector of St James Garlickhythe, as the new Honorary Chaplain. It is hoped that he can be installed at the June 2010 Court meeting. New Freeman Hugh Smith TO THE LIVERY Raymond John BUSH Sponsor : Liveryman Colin HINDLE Dr Michael Gerard O’BRIEN Sponsor : Upper Warden Mr Colin RICHARDS Merilyn Lucille JENKINS Sponsor : Past Master Ray ANSTIS AS ASSISTANT CLERK Liveryman Hugh Dudley Thomas MOSS TD (in place of Liveryman Richard Baker who had served since December 2003) PAST MASTER EMERITUS Past Master David ROGERS had the status of Past Master Emeritus conferred upon him COMPANY COMMUNICATIONS A Working Group under the Chairmanship of the Upper Warden has been established to examine all aspects of the Company‟s Communications. This has meant that the Programme and Publicity Committee has been suspended for the time being. Its work was divided between the new Working Group and the Livery Committee. THE LIVERY COMMITTEE Liveryman Peter Handley has succeeded Liveryman Karen Hately as Secretary of the Committee. The December meeting was followed for the second year by a Committee lunch at Butchers‟ Hall. THE HERITAGE COMMITTEE The Court resolved that the Chairman of this committee should be appointed for three years, rather than change annually in the position of Renter Warden. Past Master David Oxley has been appointed the first such Chairman. HORNERS PLAYING CARDS Thanks to the photographic skills of Past Master David Oxley, packs of playing cards have been produced. These are illustrated with items from the Company <strong>Horn</strong> Collection and its regalia. The reverse of the packs are in red and blue. A pack was presented to everyone attending the Banquet at the Mansion House last October. Packs may be purchased from the Clerk for £6.50 (including postage and packing). New Liverymen Raymond Bush, Michael O’Brien and Merilyn Jenkins INTERNET BANKING The Company is now set up to use internet banking through RBS Bankline. Members have for some time been able to pay for events on line. Mrs Gaynor Richard was presented with the badge of the Mistress <strong>Horn</strong>er at the Court meeting. 13
