Betty’s Resale 3 rd Anniversary Celebration and Dede’s Finds & Designs Grand Opening: 2 Reasons to Party! Betty’s Resale is celebrating their 3rd. Anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 12th. In addition to the Anniversary celebration Dede’s Finds & Designs is also celebrating their Grand Opening. The combined event starts at 9 a.m. and stores will stay open until 4 p.m. There will be door prizes every hour, free snacks and refreshments, and lots of store sales. The parking lot will be filled with amazing crafters and flea market finds. Jilly’s Restaurant will be grilling their delicious food on the lot. Betty has the “Betty’s Books” sign proudly on display behind the counter at the front of her store. She wanted to preserve this High Ridge Landmark of over 20 years. Since her first store was the location of Betty’s Books it only made sense to keep the sign. Betty’s store is always changing. She recently consolidated her two stores into one huge store with over 5,000 square feet of furniture and unique finds. Betty’s newest change is Dede’s Finds & Designs. It will be a great addition to Betty’s and they are looking forward to a successful union. Dede Doering has been a vendor with Betty on and off for over 3 years. Dede has been in business as an artist for over a year refurbishing furniture. She has a passion for creating and turning that old piece of furniture into something you’ll love again. She loves the hunt of finding retro items and antiques. She has been a part of many local craft fairs and vintage fairs. Dede’s store also carries painted and distressed furniture, home decor, and handmade jewelry. She also provides custom painted furniture service and much more! She will soon be adding a “support your local artists” wall featuring many talented local artists that need a venue to sell their work. Bettys feels her store would not be such a success without their wonderful staff, their loyal customers, great vendors with all their unique items, and the cooperation and support from the landlord Randy Lorey. Betty is grateful that the community has accepted them and has supported the store. They try to give back by helping others. They sell baskets from the Feed My People Food Pantry in High Ridge in the store so that they can provide meals for more families in need. They also sell items provided to them by the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in High Ridge so that they can help fund their facility in caring for wounded animals. Betty’s motto is Find it at Betty’s: from antiques to collectibles, to sharks teeth, and everything in between. She buys furniture, consigns some items, and has vendor spaces available.
