To Refill Your Spa:<br />

WARNING: When refilling the spa, always<br />

Super Sanitize the new water by adhering to the<br />

instructions in the Water Chemistry section.<br />

Step 1: To avoid air pockets in the pump(s), refill<br />

the spa with water by placing the hose into the<br />

filter compartment through the Weir door. Fill to<br />

the water level indication on the faceplate of the<br />

filter assembly.<br />

Step 2: Restore electrical power supply.<br />

Step 3: Press any button to reset the control<br />

system.<br />

Step 4: Reattach the equipment compartment<br />

door.<br />

Step 5: Following instructions in Starting the Spa<br />

with New Water.<br />

NOTE: The higher the water level in the spa, the<br />

fewer spa users it will be able to handle.<br />

Filter Cleaning<br />

It is recommended that the filter cartridge(s) be<br />

cleaned every 3-6 weeks or as needed. Replace<br />

the filter cartridge(s) every 1-2 years or when<br />

necessary.<br />

To maintain warranty protection, use only<br />

genuine Bullfrog Filter Cartridge replacements.<br />

To clean your filter cartridge(s), complete the<br />

following:<br />

CAUTION: Never operate spa with the<br />

filter(s) removed.<br />

Step 1: Place the spa in Standby mode.<br />

Step 2: Remove FilterCap .<br />

Step 3: Remove cartridge(s).<br />

Step 4: Using a garden hose with a nozzle or<br />

other high-pressure device, clean cartridge(s).<br />

Work top to bottom on each pleat.<br />

• To remove collected suntan lotions or body oils,<br />

soak cartridge(s) in warm water with a Filter<br />

Cleaner or detergent.<br />

• To remove calcium deposits, soak cartridge(s) in<br />

a plastic container using a 1:10 ratio of Muriatic<br />

acid to water solution. Calcium deposits indicate<br />

a high spa pH, which should be corrected.<br />

Step 5: Reinstall cartridge(s) and FilterCap.<br />

Step 6: Press any button to reset the control<br />

system.<br />

IMPORTANT: Using a brush to clean a filter<br />

cartridge could cause damage to the cartridge.<br />
