OSHA 5109 Cal/OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry

This course provides students with the ability to understand the relationship between OSHA and Cal/
OSHA Standards, policies, and procedures. Students will identify hazards which occur in construction,
and determine appropriate Cal/OSHA Standards (Title 8).
Course topics include Title 8 Construction Standards and compliance, training topics required in the 10
and 30-hour Outreach Training Programs, Injury and Illness Prevention Program, and Cal/OSHA training
guidelines. Upon course completion Construction Outreach Trainers will be authorized to teach 10 and
30-hour Cal/OSHA Outreach Training Programs.

This course provides students with the ability to understand the relationship between OSHA and Cal/

industry, and determine appropriate Cal/OSHA Standards (Title 8).
