This American Heart Association course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to know how
to perform CPR, and respond to a wide variety of life-threatening emergencies. Course includes adult,
child and infant rescue skills in out-of-hospital and in-hospital settings.
This course features key changes in basic life support refl ecting new science from the 2010 American
Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular care.
Other topics include critical concepts in high-quality CPR, The American Heart Association Chain of
Survival, 1 and 2-rescuer CPR and AED for adults, children and infants, differences among adult, child
and infant rescue techniques, bag-mask techniques, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for adults,
children and infants.
