31 John Tremayne<br />
b abt 1540, marr Mary Symons abt 1575 Cornwall. They had the following child.<br />
i. John b abt 1577; bur 16 Mar 1577 Constantine.<br />
FITZSIMON/SYMONS PEDIGREE<br />
Mary was the daughter of R Symons of Trethowan, Constantine.<br />
Mary Symons was the 7 times great granddaughter of Agnes Fitzsimon nee Tremayne<br />
The Will of John Pendarves of Bosvathick, Constantine. (Born abt 1546 died 1616)<br />
……..Item I doe give and bequeath unto John Tremayne my ould servant tenne shillings….<br />
John is first mentioned after the immediate family legacies suggesting he was probably what would now be an Estate Manager or<br />
Butler. The Pendarves family was a very wealthy family in the area. Originating from Pendarves in Crowan parish<br />

b abt 1543 St. Keverne, Cornwall, bur 24 Jun 1602 Constantine, Cornwall,<br />
marr Margaret Tooker abt 1568 Constantine.They had the following children:<br />
i. Gertrude b 1569 Cornwall; bur 29 Jan 1570 Constantine.<br />
ii. Margery b abt 1573 Cornwall, marr Mr Chegwin abt 1593, named in 1653 Will of Cuthbert (her Brother)<br />
Margery Chegwin received 10 shillings and 10 shillings to each of her children.<br />
iii. Anne chr 27 Feb 1575/1576 Constantine.<br />
iv. Christopher chr 1577 Constantine.<br />
v. John chr 1579 Constantine.<br />
vi. Cuthbert chr 26 Sep 1582 Constantine; bur 08 Jan 1654 Constantine.<br />
vii. Grace chr 11 Apr 1585 Constantine; bur 20 Apr 1656 Constantine.<br />
viii. Florence b 1586; died BEF Jan 1587 Constantine.<br />
ix. Florence chr 2 Jan 1587 Constantine.<br />
It is recorded that during the 1569 Military Muster, Mychell Tremayne of Constantine was listed with a Bow and 12 Arrows.<br />
An entry in the "Subsidy and Hearth Tax Rolls", published by the Devon and Cornwall Record Society, that Michael Tremaine paid<br />
a subsidy of iiijd in the 17th reign of Elizabeth (i.e. in 1574/75 Michael paid a 4 pence subsidy).<br />
Michael is listed on the Subsidy Roll in 1574/75, No.88/236 in 1585, No.88/259 in 1599 and No.88/262 in 1599-1600.<br />
In 1588, Michael Tremain held as arms, “a Munnian, he also hath Walter Neal”. Walter must have been a servant.<br />
(Munnian/Minion. A cannon of 3 ½ inch bore, of cast iron, well mounted upon a carriage with wheels shod with iron, and furnished<br />
with ladles, sponges and rammers.<br />
N.B. 19 July 1588 Spanish Armada first sited off the Scilly Isles.<br />
Michael Tremaine, 1590 Free Tenant of the Manor of Tucoys, Constantine for Enys Morva, Carwedres.<br />
(Enys Morva in Cornish Island by sea, was possibly on the site of what is now Higher Carvedras farm or Carvedras quarry)<br />
During 1600 he was recorded as one of Twelve Men of the Parish.<br />

Michael died intestate Letters of Administration and Inventory based on his 1602 death were as follows:The condition of this perfect<br />
obligation is such that if these above boundainth Margaret Tremayne and John Tremayne administrators of all and singular the<br />
goods, chattels and debts of Michael Tremayne late of the Parish of Constenton ( Constantine) deceased, does rehibit or take so to be<br />
rehibited into the Archdeacons office of Cornwall a true, full, and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels,and debts<br />
of the said Michael Tremayne deceased on this said the feaste of a Michael the Archangel …. …., and the same goods, chattels and<br />
debts in manor and forme following does now and faithfully administor: That is to …… doe first pay all such debts as the said<br />
Michael Tremayne ought at the time of his life and death and not after the legacies (if any known) so far forth as the said goods,<br />
chattels and debts will there be to each and record and the later charge them, and does make, or take so to be made a true, full,<br />
inster, and perfect accompte uppon these said administration at all times when soev’ their or either of them shalbe required so to doe,<br />
and all such goods, chattels, or debts as shall remayne, and be formd one of and uppon those said accompte hoard, examined and<br />
allowel, be will and truely deliver in such sorte, manor, and forme as by any compendent judge of the Archdeacons office Cornwall<br />
for the time being shalbe lymitted and appointal, and finally be before, same, and keep harmless, the above names Mr Thomas<br />
Summaster Archdeacon of Cornwall, his sucessors officer and my insters against all persons for granting and comissioning the said<br />
Letters of Administrations, and that without all fraude, guile, or delays, that then this put on obligation to be void, or else, to be in<br />
full power, forme, thought,and vertewe.<br />
