6.4.1 Creating jobs<br />

To create a job using job manager:<br />

From the Job List, click Add Job to open the Add Job wizard, where you can enter the<br />

basic properties of the new job.<br />

The following list describes the basic job properties:<br />

• Name: A descriptive name <strong>for</strong> the job.<br />

• Type: The type of job you want to create. The job type decides how job<br />

manager connects to the database to run the script.<br />

• Enabled <strong>for</strong> scheduling: Select this option to enable the job <strong>for</strong> scheduling. If<br />

the option is not selected you cannot schedule the job, but you can still run it<br />

manually from the job list.<br />

• Description: A short description of the job.
