7.4.3 Review the results and recommendations (Review section)<br />

When the query tuning activities you selected are complete, the Review section opens, as<br />

shown in Figure 7.13.<br />

On the left side, there is a list of options <strong>for</strong> a single query:<br />

• Open Single-Query Advisor Recommendations displays the Statistics Advisor<br />

recommendations.<br />

• Open Formatted Query displays a <strong>for</strong>matted query, as shown in Figure 7.14. The<br />

<strong>for</strong>matting will place each column, table and predicate on separate lines <strong>with</strong><br />

indentation so that you can analyze the syntax of the statement to determine if it<br />

makes sense. You can select a column, predicate or table in the <strong>for</strong>matted view<br />

and all column and predicate references as well as the table will be highlighted.<br />

The highlighting allows you to quickly identify how the table is being used and if<br />

it’s being used properly in the statement.
