1.6.1 Accessing the web console<br />

You can access the web console in the following ways:<br />

• Manually enter the web console URL in a browser<br />

• Use the Windows Start menu on the computer that has <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console<br />

installed<br />

• Open it from <strong>with</strong>in the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> full or administration client<br />

To access the web console from this computer or from a computer other than the one you<br />

installed the product on, enter the following URL in a web browser:<br />

http://:/datatools/<br />

Note:<br />

The following URLs are the default URLs <strong>for</strong> the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> web console:<br />

http://localhost:11083/datatools/<br />

https://localhost:11084/datatools/<br />

Important:<br />

Be<strong>for</strong>e you open the web console from your web browser, make sure that you have the<br />

Adobe Flash Player plug-in installed in the browser.<br />

On Windows you can also open the web console on the computer on which you installed<br />

the web console from the Start menu by clicking Start -> All Programs -> <strong>IBM</strong> <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> -<br />

> <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> Web Console V3.1.1 -> Web Console or Web Console (Secure).<br />

If you use the <strong>Data</strong> <strong>Studio</strong> full client or administration client, you can also open the <strong>Data</strong><br />

<strong>Studio</strong> web console that is embedded <strong>with</strong>in the workbench. You can use the health pages<br />

of the embedded web console to view alerts, applications, utilities, storage, and related<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation and use the job manager pages to create and manage script-based jobs across<br />

your connected databases. You can also schedule scripts as jobs directly from the <strong>Data</strong><br />

<strong>Studio</strong> client SQL script editor.<br />
