Consider the bodice. A wide border of narrow pleats is
heightened by a diamond-point-shaped inner border and
crowned by a double lace ruffle. The dress has very full upper
sleeves above a fitted sleeve from the elbows to the cuff, and
there is a 1" band of tightly gathered shirring at the waist. A
border of diamond-points edges the hem and the cuffs. The
rich ivory silk satin sets the stage for the brilliant confection of
