lady cheering on the University
of Chicago; the 1891 date refers
to the University's founding. The
card was likely produced circa
1910 during the heyday of F. Earl
Christy, the famous American
illustrator whose signature
appears on the lithographed card. 3"

nine varnished scenes of gentleman
courting a lady in the garden. Along
with two heavy stock cards depicting
similar scenes, with richly decorated

visit from Krampus.
The devilish figure is
depicted here in diecut
embossed views
produced in Germany
about 1890. Including
4 Krampus heads
(each 4") that are still
attached, and a pair
of Krampus figures with a basket of babies (each 7") with
original maker's inventory number 32256. Very rare.
