o tipógrafo produz. O mérito da incoerência ao menos.
Uma das preocupações maiores do homem, atingida a
idade lúcida, é talhar-se, agente e pensante, à imagem e
semelhança do seu ideal. Posto que nenhum ideal encarna
tanto como a inércia toda a lógica da nossa aristocracia de
alma ante as ruidosidades e exteriores modernas, o Inerte,
o Inativo deve ser o nosso ideal. Fútil? Talvez. Mas isso só
preocupará como um mal aqueles para quem a futilidade é
um atrativo.

But still not a real act, since it's the publisher who makes
money, the printer who produces. It at least has the merit of
being incoherent. When a man reachs the age of lucidity,
one of his main concerns is to actively and thoughtfully shape
himself into the image and likeness of his ideal. Since inertia
is the ideal that best embodies the logic of our soul´s aristocratic
attitude vis-à-vis the bustle and clamour of the modern
world, our ideal should be inert, the inative. Futile? Perhaps.
But this will only trouble those who feel attracted to futility.
