Joy visited Eastwell Manor
to try out an
Aromatherapy Rose
Infinity Facial
www.eastwellmanor.co.uk
I arrived at the Dreams
Beauty Spa at Eastwell
Manor to be met by
Ellen who talked
through the whole
process of the facial,
the products being used and
what to expect. She explained that although
this facial is suitable for all skin types, it would
be particularly good for my very sensitive, and
it has to be said - mature-skin. Whilst it would
be soothing and anti-ageing, it would also take
down any puffiness, particularly around the
eyes, and as an added bonus, help to reduce
any sinus problems, which is something I
frequently suffer from. After being left to make
myself comfortable on the gently heated bed,
Ellen began with a very soothing cleanse and
tone, followed by an enzyme peel to exfoliate
and the rose infinity anti-ageing facial oil
massage on both my face and décolletage. An
eye cream was then applied and while all of
the beautifully rose aromatics worked on my
face, Ellen massaged my scalp with the oils. I
think it was at this point that I first fell asleep,
much to my later embarrassment! I don’t
think I have ever fallen asleep while someone
is massaging my face and scalp! After this
heavenly treatment, more was to come with a
rose hydrating face treatment, the first of two
masks. This was followed by a shoulder, neck
and back massage – I think this may have been
my second drift into oblivion, I’m not really
sure as the whole process was one long, warm
and dreamy state of relaxation. The second
treatment was an overnight repair mask. The
eye and sinus area were very gently massaged
with cool stones to soothe and reduce puffiness.
Finally, a serum eye cream and nourishing
face oil was applied ending with the rose
infinity moisturiser, and I was left to slowly
bring myself back into the real world until
I was ready to get up, and reluctantly leave
this little oasis of heavenly peace. My skin felt
amazing, really lifted and glowing. Thank you,
Ellen - an hour and 20 minutes of sheer bliss.
This has to be the best facial I have ever had.
