VTCT Training Academy <strong>Prospectus</strong> WorldSkills preparation Presented by Sue Simpson Course overview Course content Additional information CPD hours Who the course is for The WorldSkills UK Beauty Therapy competition focuses on the role and tasks of a beauty therapist. Competitors carry out a range of treatments which reflect both current and traditional beauty therapy treatments. The competitors will be expected to demonstrate their skills in some of the following: warm waxing, manicure and facial plus make-up and consultation, body faradic treatment, full body massage and facial galvanic treatment. The students will have to do this in a timed situation and so will be under the pressure of the clock as well as the competition from their peers. • Overview of WorldSkills • Back to basics techniques • Competitor appearance and posture • Preparation of working area • Tips and tricks to ensure everything is carried out to a very high standard • Tips and tricks for Manicure and Pedicure • Tips and tricks for Facials, waxing, make-up, face and electrical equipment and body massage. • Progression into WorldSkills international competitions Centre to provide couch, trolley, paper disposables and towels and all relevant equipment and products 6 hours of CPD VTCT Beauty Therapy lecturers and students who want to enter the competition. This can be carried out as practical session with both Level 2 & 3 students working on each other. She works as the Chief Expert for WorldSkills International and an independent consultant beauty therapist using her wealth of knowledge and skills to organise the deliver high quality training programmes. There are many things your client needs and one of these is a passionate therapist! Getting to know the client via their energetic constitution will enable you to deliver an individualised treatment which touches the client on many levels. Being able to approach the client on an individual level will enable you to assist the client to reach their greatest potential. Using some ayurvedic principles to really know your client and enjoying some cultural ingredients will enhance your practice and transform your treatments. Beverley has created products for many prestigious customers and became famous for her work in women’s health during the 1990s. Beverley has since developed many more products for her company Potionshop and has worked within training and product development both in the UK and internationally. She is a teacher of Aromatherapy and travels to Provence yearly to study and teach this subject.
