How to book
This course has been designed to inspire delegates who
work as tutors and assessors for the hairdressing and
media make-up industry. The course will teach advanced
techniques on how to create beautiful historical hairstyles
to the highest professional standards. The skills and
techniques delivered will be both traditional and
contemporary and include all important trouble shooting
techniques developed by an industry professional media
make-up and hair designer/author working within the
fashion, TV, and filming industry.
• Consultation techniques for the fitting of wigs/hair
pieces and colour matching
• Correct selection of products and equipment and
creative use products to achieve results
• Creating historical hairstyles using lace wigs, hair piece
and crepe hair, and how to create a range of historical
hairstyles using additional media and make-up
• Cleaning and maintaining wigs and hair pieces and
health and safety information
• Contra-indications and contra-actions
• Aftercare guidance

VTCT media make-up and hairdressing tutors
Qualified to level 2/3 in make-up/hairdressing or with
considerable previous hairdressing experience
Delegates will have developed various techniques to
create and adapt many different historical hair styles, aid
in the delivery of VTCT media make-up qualifications/
style and fit postiche unit, assess to a competent level as
well as develop the confidence to create beautiful period
hair styles.
£1350 for a maximum of ten delegates. Cost includes
products and the use of postiche.

Course delivered by Jennifer Lenard
Jennifer is a BAFTA award winning hair and media make-up artist with
extensive industry experience. Jennifer started her career as a competitive ice
skater, she then went on to tour with ice shows all over the world, while touring
she decided to help out back stage, were she developed skills such as: makeup;
wig making; SFX make up; postiche and prosthetic make-up. Jennifer then
hung up her skates and made the changeover to the world of theatre ,fashion,
film and TV and has never looked back. Jennifer has her own VTCT approved
centre (The Biz Media Make-up and Hair Academy).
