All of these messages were received most of which are happy.
1. Art and Nancy White are comping by the water at Lake Havasu, AZ for the next month. Then
on their return they will be off to Houston for a business trip. They will catch up with us at
the March meeting.
2. Per Debbie Anderson, she and Terry are very proud to announce that they have a new
daughter in law. Their oldest son Gary moved to China in August to be reunited with his soul
mate. He got a great job teaching English to small children. On December 30 he married
Songsong. Debbie and Terry are hoping to finally meet her this spring.
3. From our dear friend Joyce Krocker, she has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. She is
scheduled for surgery (today). Joyce says she would be much happier to be at the meeting
with all of us today. Joyce says she has been blessed with good health asks only that we
pray for her.
4. Our dear Charlotte Renna is on the road again. She went with her daughter and son in law
in their motor home for a trip to Pismo coast village. They arrived the day after the big
coastal storm. Their site was one row away from a motor home that was crushed by a fallen
tree. Luckily no one was hurt. While there they all went to see the monarch butterflies,
elephant seals, and walked & walked on the beach. She also said they ate their way through
Pismo. They enjoyed the best weather except for one rainy day, but that did not stop them.
5. Finally from Patricia Garrahan. This one is priceless: Dear Jan, I have no news worth
sharing! I have no illness, no vacations and I did not win the power ball!
6. And now for another message from Joyce Kroeker. She is recovering from surgery and has a
catheter, which makes it difficult for her to dance. That’s our Joyce!!
7. Per Pat Garrahan, she received an e-mail from Paula Fam. Freddy is now on Morphine and
Methadone and at times is unresponsive. This is very sad.
8. From Tom and Marcie: we have a new great-grandson, Ames Monroe Thomson. He is their
first great-grandson and big sister is thrilled.
9. Glen Henderson says wife Lorraine went on a girl trip to Palm Springs. All flights back to
Fresno were cancelled (due to air control problems). Sooooo, Lorraine decided to rent a car
and is driving home. We might add that Lorraine has a poor sense of direction. Her cell
phone has died so Glen had trouble reaching her. As of this date, I am sure husband and wife
are reunited!
