What are your immediate music
career goals?
Every musician’s goal is actually to
have creation. Same thing as me, I
would like to record an album. For
now, I want to be a well-known musician
first then i would like to do
music behind the scene; I am really
passionate in creating music
and writing songs. I have a dream
to hold a concert where my fellow
singers will be singing my songs.
Everyone loves a celebrity,
so what advice do you have
for the youth today about
their passion?
Passion is when you do something
without expecting any reward.
It is all about doing things
by wholeheartedly giving all
your efforts. Therefore, I hope
whatever your passion is—especially
music, be honest with
yourself; be who you truly are.
Who is your biggest role model
when it comes to a career?
My biggest role models are Brian
McKnight and David Foster. They are
two great musicians with long-lasting
career who have produced amazing
work. David Foster is one of the
examples of a musician that shines
behind the scenes; he has other
singers perform his creations. Meanwhile,
Brian McKnight is the example
of a great singer who also composes
songs. Both of them complete each
other, and that’s why I admire them.
“Without music,
I would be nothing”.
What was the worst thing that
has ever happened to you on
stage?
I once had a jazz band, and I got to
perform in rural areas where people
weren’t expecting the songs
that I was performing. I think they
were expecting to hear either dangdut
or rock music. Some people
even tried to throw bottles at me.
