First-class event as usual at The Skagit<br />
<strong>Karaoke</strong> <strong>Corner</strong><br />

Washington State has to offer, and the<br />
most difficult to judge thus far.<br />
The Showroom was decorated in<br />
a Music Awards theme, decked out in<br />
black and red, with glitz and glamour<br />
and glittery lights, all the stars came<br />
out to play.<br />
Prizes were awarded in several<br />
categories, including Top Male and<br />
Female Pop, Top Male and Female<br />
Country, and Best Duo or group as<br />
well. Each of those first place winners<br />
walked away with $1,000.00. Top<br />
Costume male and female each won<br />
$500.00 as did best overall performances<br />
for Best Male and Best Female. But<br />
that wasn't the end of the money flying<br />
out the door. The Skagit then proceeded<br />
to award money to (2) $500.00<br />
winners and (10) $100.00 winners by<br />
random draw from all of the song slips<br />
that had been sung over the past 12<br />
weeks in the Winners Lounge!<br />
In total, The Skagit gave away<br />
$10,000.00 in cash and put on one<br />
hell of a great show. Rocky kept<br />
things rolling along and the contest<br />
was smooth as silk. Tons of thanks to<br />
Daina Bussing, who knows how to do<br />
an amazing job every time of holding<br />
it all together at The Skagit, she's got<br />
to be the best "boss" and friend that<br />
we, Kristine and Rocky, could ever<br />
have asked for.<br />
Congratulations to all the winners,<br />
and thanks to everyone who<br />
participated this year. The Skagit<br />
also gave away IPOD packs, cash,<br />
dinners, show tickets and much more<br />

again, Daina Bussing for allowing us<br />
to host what has become a very popular<br />
karaoke show in the northend.<br />
We will be taking a short hiatus,<br />
but will return to The Skagit early in<br />
