NEWS FROM INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY
Year 5 Mother Tongue Day
In conjunction with the Mother Tongue Day in Tenby International Primary, Year 5
were very fortunate to have Mrs. Renata Sommer, who kindly dropped by to have an
amazing time with the children and shared her mother tongue which is Portuguese.
She explained about the origins of the language and its influence all over the world.
Mrs. Sommer also taught the children a game and conducted a quiz at the end. The
lucky winners received books as prizes from Mrs. Sommer. The children enjoyed the
session and we would like to thank her very much for her
kind contribution.
The following day Mr. Ricky Parlanti dropped by and had a
session with the students from Year 5 Blue and Year 5
Green. He introduced his mother tongue which is Italian.
He explained about how the Italian language has spread
all over the world and has many interesting features and
usage.
Mr Parlanti’s session also ended with a quiz by the
students and we would like to thank him for his participation in our Mother Tongue Day.
