CSMA is a unique <strong>and</strong> vital community resource <strong>and</strong> one <strong>of</strong> the top 10 schools <strong>of</strong> its kind in the nation. We<br />
<strong>of</strong>fer a spectrum <strong>of</strong> creative endeavors reflecting the diverse interests <strong>of</strong> people throughout the region.<br />
In addition to providing a curriculum to accommodate all skill levels <strong>and</strong> ages, CSMA <strong>of</strong>fers a variety <strong>of</strong> special<br />
programs <strong>and</strong> services at our Finn Center campus, as well as in the community, at businesses <strong>and</strong> homes.<br />
Concerts, lectures & Special<br />
Cultural Events in Tateuchi Hall<br />
CSMA <strong>of</strong>fers many free or moderately priced<br />
programs year-round in its 200-plus seat concert<br />
hall, named in honor <strong>of</strong> donors Atsuhiko <strong>and</strong> Ina<br />
Goodwin Tateuchi <strong>of</strong> Japan. (See inside front cover.)<br />
Exhibitions in Mohr Gallery<br />
Year-round exhibitions in our gallery, named in<br />
honor <strong>of</strong> donors larry <strong>and</strong> Nancy Mohr, present a<br />
spectrum <strong>of</strong> multi-cultural art, diverse media <strong>and</strong><br />
cutting-edge creativity by local <strong>and</strong> faculty artists,<br />

CSMA in the <strong>Community</strong><br />
as part <strong>of</strong> Csma’s commitment to <strong>Arts</strong> for All we<br />
bring the community together at Finn Center, but we<br />
don’t just stop there. our outreach programs bring<br />
education, creativity <strong>and</strong> inspiration to thous<strong>and</strong>s <strong>of</strong><br />
people throughout the region every year.<br />
In-<strong>School</strong> Programs<br />
CSMA serves more than 8,500 children (Gr K-8) annually<br />
through its art4schools <strong>and</strong> music4schools programs<br />
taught by CSMA’s pr<strong>of</strong>essional faculty. Curriculum is<br />
aligned with the California Visual <strong>and</strong> Performing <strong>Arts</strong><br />
(VAPA) state st<strong>and</strong>ards. Weekly, sequential, skill-based<br />
classes <strong>and</strong> concerts at more than 35 schools in Santa<br />
Clara <strong>and</strong> San Mateo Counties coordinate with school<br />
curriculum to ensure that the arts become an integral,<br />
enriching part <strong>of</strong> a child’s education.<br />

After-<strong>School</strong> Programs<br />
CSMA <strong>of</strong>fers weekly after-school art clubs <strong>and</strong> music<br />
instruction at elementary schools. Programs <strong>of</strong>fer<br />
kids the opportunity to create art <strong>and</strong> music in the<br />
familiar surrounding <strong>of</strong> their own school <strong>and</strong> provide<br />
parents a convenient place for children to go when<br />
the school day ends.<br />
Performances & Exhibitions<br />
Faculty <strong>and</strong> students provide free concerts <strong>and</strong><br />
exhibitions at libraries, senior centers, hospitals, fairs<br />
<strong>and</strong> other venues throughout the year. These <strong>of</strong>f-site<br />
programs are another way that CSMA strengthens its<br />
bonds with the community <strong>and</strong> ensures <strong>Arts</strong> for All!<br />
Special Needs Program<br />
As part <strong>of</strong> CSMA’s commitment to <strong>Arts</strong> for All, we<br />
provide classes at Finn Center to students from<br />
Abilities United, Morgan Autism Center, Pacific Autism<br />
Center for Education (PACE) <strong>and</strong> AchieveKids. Taught<br />
by our pr<strong>of</strong>essional faculty, weekly classes provide<br />
h<strong>and</strong>s-on experiences in a supportive environment to<br />
meet the special needs <strong>of</strong> these students.<br />
