As he approached the Show Stage he saw the exit door. He<br />

could leave the building and forget all about Jeremy and the<br />

Anim<strong>at</strong>ronics. But really, he could not. He felt responsibility<br />

towards Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, the Phone Guy, and even the<br />

Anim<strong>at</strong>ronics. He could not leave this place in the hands of a<br />

psycho. He was still the night guard and his shift was not over<br />

yet.<br />

Mike climbed onto the stage and got behind the motionless<br />

Anim<strong>at</strong>ronics.<br />

He opened a small, concealed compartment in the back of<br />

Freddy Fazbear’s neck, which revealed a small numerical keypad<br />

and a one-line screen. He entered the five digit combin<strong>at</strong>ion code<br />

he memorized from the manual. The screen then read “ENTER<br />

AI LEVEL”.<br />

The current Artificial Intelligence level was ten. He knew<br />

entering the maximum number of twenty would make the<br />

Anim<strong>at</strong>ronics smarter and more cunning, perhaps even capable<br />

of keeping Jeremy in the office and stopping him from doing any<br />

more harm. He was about to enter “20.”<br />

Just then he was sure he could hear a faint voice coming from<br />

Freddy’s mouth. It was not the usual metallic, robotic voice, but<br />

r<strong>at</strong>her a soft voice, a childish voice.<br />

He leaned around to look <strong>at</strong> Freddy’s face. It was then th<strong>at</strong> he<br />

felt there was something more than just a robot controlled by a<br />

central processor unit. He sensed there was something inside<br />
