Appendix 2 – Scrutiny Requirements<br />

Article 17 Helmets<br />

17.2 now reads:<br />

Painting a helmet with water base paint is<br />

permitted. Covering a helmet with material<br />

such as vinyl is not permitted for any class<br />

of motorsport that requires competitors<br />

to use fire retardant clothing/helmet<br />

lining.<br />

Rules and Regulations<br />

Vinyl wrap is permitted on helmets<br />

approved for kart racing and will have a<br />

Safety Helmet Approved sticker (as per<br />

App 2-17.1) with the letter “K” before<br />

the ID number.<br />

Article 28.9 Sealing:<br />

28.9.1 – add new final paragraph:<br />

Components sealed for eligibility<br />

purposes and checked by a manufacturer<br />

may be resealed by the manufacturer<br />

in the presence of an MI Scrutineer.<br />

Manufacturers are approved as experts<br />

for this purpose by Motorsport Ireland<br />

and trusted guardians. Motorsport<br />

Ireland recognises the need for corporate<br />

confidentiality at their manufacturing<br />

facilities. Therefore competitors or<br />

their guardian, agent, entrant or parent<br />

are not permitted to be present at such<br />

facilities. Any equipment used in the<br />

testing by the Manufacturer will be<br />

deemed to be correct.<br />

Appendix 29 - Regulations for all Stage<br />

Rallies<br />

Article 2.6 – Single Stage and Mini Stage<br />

Rallies - add new final paragraph:<br />

Currently homologated WRC, RRC, S2000<br />

Rally 1.6T, R5 cars and modified versions<br />

of these car types are not permitted on<br />

any Single Stage or Mini Stage Rally. WRC<br />

cars which are out of homologation may<br />

compete on Non-Restricted Mini Stage<br />

Rallies, in Class 15.<br />

Appendix 30 – Rallysprint Standard<br />

Regulations<br />

Article 9 Classes – Class 10 now reads:<br />

Cars up to 1400cc being driven by Junior<br />

Speed Competition Licence holders aged<br />

14-16 years inclusive. Co-drivers allowed<br />

subject to their holding a minimum of a<br />

National B Competition Licence and be<br />

21 years or over.<br />
