Ian Thornton in his Golf GTI Mk1, chased by David<br />

Hammond in his Fiat Uno. William Tighe has acquired<br />

a Peugeot 306 Gti a change from last years 205 Gti.<br />

Daniel Byrne was in Vauxhall Chevette last year but<br />

for 2016 will feature in a Toyota Corolla 1600. Timothy<br />

Duggan will use his Seat Cordoba. Eoghan O Brien is<br />

back in his trusty Fiat Punto<br />

Other new Cars for 2016 are Ger Byrne BMW 328i.<br />

Aidan Byrne will be racing the Vauxhall Chevette for<br />

2016 which was driven by his nephew Daniel Byrne in<br />

2015, Marty Moore is to appear out in a Honda Civic.<br />

Jennifer Mullan has received an extra boost as she<br />

preparesto travel to<br />

Australia in March to<br />

join Ecurie Australie<br />

for the Phillip Island<br />

Classic, having received<br />

the support of Irish<br />

Motorsport’s governing<br />

body -Motorsport<br />

Ireland, for her<br />

participation in the<br />

famous Formula Ford<br />

event.<br />

Having developed a<br />

friendship with Ecurie<br />

Australie’s Chris Davison during her participation in<br />

the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone, the Australian<br />

was impressed by her commitment to the sport and<br />

keen to have her join his famous family team for the<br />

annual event.<br />

Jennifer will race one of the team’s Reynard FF84<br />

Formula Ford 1600’s, a similar model to the one she<br />

has used to good effect over the past two seasons in<br />

Ireland in the Champion of Mondello Park series in<br />

2014, followed by the All Ireland Formula Ford 1600<br />

Series in 2015.<br />

Run over three days, the Phillip Island classic begins<br />

onFriday 11th March and will be run over five<br />

races during the weekend. As she makes her final<br />

preparations to travel to Australia, Mullan, is thrilled<br />

to have the support of Ireland’s governing body feels<br />

confident she can put on a strong display during her<br />

first visit ‘down under’.<br />

It’s all about the BOSS...<br />

Leinster Motor Club have announced that the BOSS series<br />

have been awarded the Leinster Trophy for 2016 and for the<br />

first time ever, Ireland’s fastest single seater race cars will race<br />

for the famous trophy at Mondello Park in September. LMC are<br />

hoping that Dan Daly will perform a Formula One demo run<br />

in the ex-Barrichello Jordan 193 at Mondello Park on the day.<br />
