1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings?
I started skating at the age of 16, did a bit of every discipline and in 2008 I started competing
in DH speed, in 2011 I became a professional by CBSK in Brazil. Been riding almost
for 10 years now and love my sport.
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
The passion for speed and racing.
3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
Skate and practice as much as I can, workout on the gym 4x a week, lots of stretching,
ride a bike to build endurance and surf to keep my mind clear.
4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from
others?
Be able to ride my skateboard down the most amazing roads in the world, skate and
have fun with all my friends and compete in all 5 continents on some of the craziest
roads around. I think what sets this sport a part from everything else is that you are
able to compete in a high level with way less money than any other competitive racing
sport and also have an adrenalin rush like no other.
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how
did you overcome it?
Definitely the scariest and most difficult thing was the Teutonia race, it is the fastest
race hill in the world and has one of the worst pavements, it is really scary and challenging
to race there. I overcame my fear and kept going back every year until I was
finally became champion and had no more fear of the hill!
