Welcome to the premier issue point. The first is that Canada has a lack
of Wild Guide Magazine and of good information for hunters and
thanks for reading. We are anglers, particularly those who are new
so excited about the launch to the sports. While the internet is a trove
of our new magazine and we of information, it is often difficult to find
hope you are too. For the rich, informative material that applies
premiere issue I want to walk you through specifically to the areas in which we hunt
the concept behind Wild Guide Magazine and fish. So our first objective is to bring
and the reasons we exist.
educational content from across Canada
First off, who are we? Wild Guide that will help you become more successful
was started by myself, Brad McCann in the wilderness.
and long time friend and hunting and The next realization we have come to is
fishing partner Tony Griffiths. We are that there are a lot of inhibitions to hunting
avid outdoorsmen, devoted husbands and and fishing that keep people from enjoying
fathers and passionately dedicated to each them. These range from, thinking they
one of those things. From this passion is can’t do it, or that they don’t know how,
born Wild Guide Inc.
to not liking the taste of game meat. So
So why Wild Guide? At first glance it our next mandate is to strive to tear down
may look like we are simply trying to turn these walls, teach them that everyone can
our passion into a career, and yes there is do it and help them to find the joy in laying
an element of that, but more accurately, we out a table with meat and forage they went
wanted to turn our career into something out and got on their own.
that allows us to share our passion with The last realization we have come to is
others.
that the privilege we have to be able to hunt
Tony and I recently came to some and fish is constantly under attack. These
realizations which have lead us to this attacks come in the form of conservation
and wildlife populations, economic attack
and even social attack. All of these have
the ability to threaten what we love. These
threats can be minimized with proper
education and accurate information.
Educating people in best conservation
practices supports wildlife populations
to ensure that we have a sustainable
ecosystem for generations to come. This
also includes easing the social threat
of attack by educating the non-hunting
members of society in the importance
of controlling species to prevent overpopulation.
Wild Guide also takes a pro-industry
approach in everything we do. This means
always striving to support and promote the
businesses in the industry that are so vital
to it’s sustainability. Every outfitter and
tackle shop, guide service and gun dealer
plays a vital role in the sustainability of
our resources, both economically and
ecologically. So the more we support them,
the better the industry is, thus ensuring the
safety and long term security of this great
privilege.
To help fullfil these mandates, we have
developed an editorial plan that will deliver
informative, knowledgeable content on key
subjects to help you become more successful
