In a row of adopting the films from the foreign languages, Rocky
Handsome has made its entry, this March, remaking the popular
Korean film “The Man from Nowhere”. The way, the director
adopted the film and made necessary changes to suit to the
Indian audience deserves a loud applause.
When a handsome hunk like John Abraham is in the film,
makers cannot take a chance in picturing the high voltage action
stunts in the film. That is what repeated in Rocky Handsome
too. With the never before action sequences in the Indian
films, Rocky Handsome surely attracts many. Apart from it, the
casting was at its best making every actor deliver the lively and
apt performance. Every role appears like a tailor-made one,
to the actors in the film. To the action movie audience, ‘Rocky
Handsome’ is a treat.

hat it makes, when a family script is dealt well in the present days?
Probably it would make, what Kapoor & Sons made. After a long
gap, Bollywood has come with a super quality family entertainer.
The right mix of family emotions, along with the hilarious laughing
elements, made Kapoor & Sons, occupy a unique position among
the present day films.
Especially, the connectivity between the scenes and the spot on
dialogues are to be sure mentioned, when something is to be
discussed about Kapoor & Sons. The rivalry between the siblings
and the pressure, the children in the Indian families have and many
such sensitive issues are captured in a realistic way. More than the
film, Kapoor & Sons, makes one relate to their personal lives.
Though a few of the scenes, Rishi Kapoor was involved in, may not
appear digestive to his age group, and other fans, his humor is what
that drives the film throughout and make it a sure watchable film for
this Summer.

When the script has some element, which can keep the audience
engaged, throughout the film, generally, an utmost edgy
screenplay is needed. But director though chose a good script,
failed in executing it on the screen. Though Rohith’s performance
adds as a key element of the film, the poor narration of the
characters, makes the lead actor’s performance sound low.
The interlinking of the fantasy element with the social life is
appreciable. But the revelation of the suspense, up to the climax
will involve several chaos, and thus make the audience fall
into dilemma and think, as to what they are actually watching
on the screen. Moreover the chemistry between the lead pair
is blunder and the boxing scenes appear silly, to those Telugu
audience, who already have seen several quality boxing scenes
in the earlier movies. On the whole, except Nara Rohith, nothing
appears notable in the film.

Adopted from “The Intouchables”, Oopiri was brought to screen,
making necessary changes to the script, to relate it to the
Telugu audience. In the beginning, when Vamsi Paidipally was
announced as the director of Oopiri, several felt, how can a
commercial films director can screen this emotional entertainer.
But overcoming all those, Vamsi made Oopiri by feeling it
through the heart and the film is now receiving appreciations
from the industry biggies.
Nagarjuna as a paraplegic patient, though not able to move his
body, he still managed to show all the required emotions through
his face itself. He danced, loved, cried and did several things
with face itself. To all the Akkineni fans, Oopiri is a real treat.
After a long time, Oopiri is estimated to be the quality film, with
all the needed elements, involved in it.

Story :
Rocky Handsome is the story of
Kabir Ahlawat (John Abraham)
who has not many huge plans in
life and he runs a small pan shop
in a small locality in Goa. He has a
painful past which he doesn’t wish
to unfold and he bonds well with
Naomi (Diya) who comes to his
shop. Her mother Anna (Nathalia
Kaur) is a bar dancer by profession
who steals a consignment that
costs in crores and it belongs
to the ruthless criminals Pereira
brothers: Kevin and Luke. Pereira
brothers kidnap Anna and her
daughter for the consignment.
The rest of Rocky Handsome is
about how Kabir rescues them
connecting to the painful past.

Analysis :
The first half of Rocky Handsome
has been decent with interesting
episodes. The first twenty minutes
keeps on a dull note and the movie
picks up pace after the Naomi gets
kidnapped. The action episodes
have been completely stunning
and they have never been seen
on Indian screen. The songs have
been decent and the interval
episode takes a huge bang. On
the whole the complete first half
of Rocky Handsome has been
impressive.
The second half of Rocky
Handsome will take the audience
to the next level and they will
be left completely engaged
throughout. The screenplay has
been completely gripping and well
written. On the whole the complete
second half has been stupendous.
Final Word:
Rocky Handsome is a must watch
film for the high voltage action
episodes and the stupendous
performances by the lead actors.

Story :
The first half of

FKapoor and Sons is about an
unusual family who have their
own flaws and struggle between
themselves. Arjun (Siddarth
Malhotra) and Rahul (Fawad
Khan) are brothers and are the
sons of Kapoor’s family. The
brothers fly to Coonor to meet their
grandfather (Rishi Kapoor). Arjun
struggles to settle professionally
while Rahul is a novelist and gains
good name across the family
as the ideal son of Kapoor’s.
The brothers fall in love with Tia
Singh (Alia Bhatt) after which
things change drastically. An
unexpected situation changes the
fate of Kapoor’s family and watch
Kapoor and Sons to know about
what happens next and about the
complete story.
Analysis :
The first half of the movie has
been highly, entertaining, fresh
and revealing though the plot has
been predictable. The songs have
been placed well and they have
been shot in beautiful locales.
The entertainment has been fresh
completely and the performances
by the lead actors take the film to
the next level.
The second half of the film has the
same momentum but slows down
because of the emotional content.
The emotional drama takes the
major charge and the movie has
been narrated in a way it touches
the hearts of the audience.
Final Word:
Kapoor and Sons is sure an
impressive movie which has
stupendous performances from all
the lead actors. A must watch film.

Kalyana
Vaibhogame is
sure a treat for
family film lovers.
The real emotions
and the values
of relations have
been narrated
in an engaging
way. A decent
one time watch.
Story :
Shourya (Naga Shourya) is a
matured young guy who is a
gaming expert and is against
marriage as he feels that it is a
responsibility. The same is the
case with Divya (Malavika Nair)
who is a medico by profession.
Fate changes things fastly that
they get married as they have
been forced by their parents.
It is then when they plan to get
divorced in the coming six months
as they have many big dreams to
achieve. Kalyana Vaibhogame is
about Shourya and Divya realizing
about the value of relations and
emotions getting maturity after
staying together. Watch the movie
on big screen for the complete
narration.
Analysis :
Kalyana Vaibhogame has a decent
and engaging first half. The first
half has loads of entertainment
and Naga Shourya carried the
complete film on his shoulders with
his performance. The fresh and
realistic narration makes the film
decent and impressive. The songs
are the major highlights of the film
and though the movie dips down
at parts, the director made sure it
came back at the right time. On the
whole the complete first half has
been impressive and completely
engaging.
The second half of Kalyana
Vaibhogame too has been decent
enough but some unwanted scenes
have been included and even some
of the episodes have been dragged
too much. The climax takes the
major role which makes the film
end on an impressive note.
Final Word:
Kalyana Vaibhogame is sure a
treat for family film lovers. The
real emotions and the values of
relations have been narrated in an
engaging way. A decent one time
watch.

multi-millionaire Vikramaditya
(Nagarjuna) becomes paralyzed
after a terrible accident in Paris,
France during paragliding.He
starts searching for a care-taker
along with his secretary Keerthi
(Tamannaah) and during this
search Seenu (Karthi) impresses
him though he will be rejected
by his well wishers. Seenu is an
unemployed youth who becomes
a thief to earn living. Vikram
and Seenu bonds well because
of sensibilities balancing their
thoughts and emotions. Seenu
who is hated by his family helps
them with the support of Vikram
at the right time. The rest of the
movie is about how Vikram travels
for the rest of his life with his right
partner and how Seenu becomes
responsible.
Analysis :
The first half of Oopiri has been
completely outstanding with
many moments to celebrate. The
human emotions and relations
have been explained well with
lot of care. The songs have
been completely decent and the
background score has been top
notch. Karthi has been the main
source for entertainment and the
complete first half of Oopiri takes
the audience to a different world
impressing them with a feel.
The second half of Oopiri to has
been good but the film dips down
during the initial time. Some
unwanted episodes spoil the mood
of the movie but the film returns
back with a bang after the first half
an hour. The pre climax and the
climax episodes have been well
balanced and the performances by
the lead actors take the film to the
next level.
Final Word:
Oopiri is one more masterpiece
that comes from PVP Cinema and
Nagarjuna, Karthi blended the film
in their style. An emotional content
along with an impressive and
engaging narration makes Oopiri a
decent family entertainer.

When in the beginning, it was in the news
that Kapoor & Sons is all about a dysfunctional
family, what more this particular film
can show, after several films have already dealt
with the similar line?, the analysts questioned.
Answering all of them, Kapoor
& Sons attracted many, with the
gripping screenplay and several
watchable episodes. Touted to be
a family drama, the movie lived up
to the expectations, featuring the
family episodes in utmost unique
and also attractive way, after a
long time in Bollywood.
Karan Johar can be
smelled
Karan Johar is known for dealing
the emotional entertainers in
the innovative way and scored
several huge successes in the
past. His influence in the way
Kapoor & Sons was projected on
the screen, can be felt. After all,
he is one of the producers of the
film.
The plot of the film is predictable,
but the way director Shakun
Batra, handled it is appreciable.

Rahul (Fawad Khan) and Arjun

brothers who are living their own
lives in London and New Jersey

played all the possible
tricks with the script in hand
and managed to bring out
the quality output, with the
several unexpected scenes.
The prediction has become
out of the question since
then, engaging the audience
with the back to back
interesting episodes.

Proud of Oopiri
Akkineni Nagarjuna who has a prominent
place in the hearts of Tollywood audience
revealed many interesting things about his
latest outing Oopiri and about how he has
been managing a huge female fan base at the
age of 56. Here are the excerpts:
The French film starring François Cluzet
and Omar Sy, inspired by a true story,
is a heart-warming narrative about a
quadriplegic billionaire and his caretaker,
a former small-time crook. Nag watched
The Intouchables three years ago and
was moved to tears, of joy. He told his
wife Amala that he wished someone
would make such a film in Telugu.
“What do they say about the universe
conspiring to make things happen when
you really want something? That’s what
has happened. Three years later, director
Vamshi Paidipally wanted to remake The
Intouchables,” he says.
NTR was initially approached to do the
crucial caretaker’s role. “Vamshi was
hesitant to approach me. Tarak got in
touch and asked me to listen to the story
and then react; he told me not to get
angry. I wondered what was brewing.
Then they sent me a DVD of The
Intouchables,” Nag recalls with a hearty
laugh.

him was a commercialised
version, with a flashback
thrown in. “I said I wouldn’t
do it. I didn’t see the need for
a flashback with song and
dance. I told them to retain the
positivity and the bonhomie
of the original, but not get my
character off the wheelchair.
Vamshi was pleased and
said this is what he wanted
to hear. He was worried if
I’d decline the film if I had
to be wheelchair bound all
along,” he says. In the next
two months, the script was
reworked.
The actor
revealed
that he is
completely
satisfied with
the way Oopiri
has been
shaped up and
he thanked the
audience for
making the
film a massive
hit
His three decade career is
marked with hits and misses.
A film like Oopiri, in trade
terms, is not considered
ideal for B and C centres.
“The films I’ve done with all
my heart have gone on to
become huge hits. When I
set out to do a ‘mass masala’
intending to please B and C
centres, it bombs,” he says.
Playing a quadriplegic was
tougher than Nagarjuna
thought, “It’s depressing to
think what it would mean to
be impaired down the neck.”
As an actor, he says it wasn’t
easy: “I couldn’t use any
gestures apart from speech
and facial expressions. For
a few scenes, they tied my
hands beneath my jacket so
that, involuntarily, I wouldn’t
move my limbs. I felt like
a Bharatanatyam dancer,
having to emote with my eyes.
This whole exercise made me
a better actor,” he laughs.
The actor revealed that he
is completely satisfied with
the way Oopiri has been
shaped up and he thanked the
audience for making the film
a massive hit. He also said
that Oopiri will be a platform
for many new and fresh films
to be made in Tollywood and
the success of the movie
has given new energy for
the entire team and for the
makers.

Rattanpur
Far from the hustle and bustle
of city life, the story of Sardaar
Gabbar Singh is set against
a rural backdrop in a fictitious
place calledRattanpur. Once
subsidiary of princely state,
Rattanpur is situated in the
borders of Telangana, Andhra
Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
Since the town was part of
Hindi provenance, the people
of Rattanpur are familiar with
Hindi and their jargon has mix
of both Hindi and Telugu.
With a sizeable population
of 5000 to 10000 people,
Rattanpur’s bucolic milieu is
what sets it apart from the
rest. Its landscape is wide and
varied. From royal palaces
