Gujarat International Finance Tec-City<br />
(GIFT), India<br />
GIFT aims to become a global financial <strong>and</strong> IT services hub by <strong>of</strong>fering global firms high<br />
quality infrastructure <strong>and</strong> facilities in Western India. Its development site is located 12<br />
km from the Ahmedabad International Airport, between G<strong>and</strong>hinagar <strong>and</strong> Ahmedabad, in<br />
the state <strong>of</strong> Gujarat. By developing local economic activity, it hopes to feed the economic<br />
drivers <strong>of</strong> the surrounding urban centers <strong>and</strong> provide half a million jobs directly, <strong>and</strong><br />
another half a million indirectly. GIFTCL, a key investor, plans to develop, finance, <strong>and</strong><br />
implement all infrastructure in <strong>and</strong> around GIFT on a turnkey basis to ensure that all<br />
services relating to connectivity, communication, technology, security, <strong>and</strong> quality <strong>of</strong> life<br />
are established <strong>and</strong> sustained.<br />
